Sim City 4 - $10 on D2D - Yay or Nay?

Is this game good / buggy / etc.? How does it compare to more recent games?

Well, Simcity is about...building cities. Do you like building cities or towns and stuff?

EDIT: Since it's over in 13 hours and so you don't panic...

In short, it would take a long time before you would enjoy it to it's fullest, since you'd have to learn how the game works (the manual sucks) and a long time to download custom content and such.

It isn't buggy as such, it does crash a lot if you have massive cities, and there is no autosave

The graphics don't look that great, but the game engine supports some pretty stunning looking custom buildings

It makes like something 5 or 6 dollars. Yeah it's a shame even retail version is cheaper.
