I would like to see them allow the player to personalize almost anything they want. Building designs, street names, neighborhood activities, criminal justice system, education, and all the other stuff, but on a very intricate level. I realize too much complexity would kill it, but they need to give people more than 'slap a building here' and 'plop a water tower there'.
I am really excited about the game. I don't want anything in particular i just hope its much improved and different but not really dissapointing. I hope it doesn't cock up and get it all wrong too. I don't know when it will be released, possibly 2009 im not sure if it was in development when it was announced.
im sure its in pre-development or something, but im betting they are knee deep in SPORE until that is released. I am really excited for SPORE. I would also like to see another sim tower, or make sim city 5 have the ability to customize your commercial and residential towers.
What I would love to not see in SC 5 is the boring water-pipelines. It doesn't really add anything to the game What I'd like to see is a bit realism with the building styles and time line. I don't want the game to start in year 00, I would like it to be 1900. When entering the 1920'es the building styles should slowly change from the first building style set to the 1930 style set (slowly as in: In 1922 80% of all new buildings still use the old style, while in 1928 only 20% of the new buildings will use the old set) I want bus stops to be automatically generated, all you need to do is put down a central bus station (which based on size has a certain range). For larger cities you'll need more bus stations. The distance from home to work will be calculated like this: Distance from house to bus station 1 + distance from here to bus station 2 + distance from there to work (instead of going directly from home to work) I've got tons of other things I'd like to see, but I'm not interested in writing 30 pages with all my ideas :)
