I have loved the SC franchise since 2000. And I loved 4 and still play it daily after buying it the day of release. But I have a fear that this new one will be too childish, and not a true SC game...especially since Maxis didn't work on it. Anybody else wish they would've stuck with the old format just on a more massive scale again??

i do, the new game just seems almost too EASY for me. not much challenge in it at all, but yeah, i would like SC4 again but with better graphics, new features, and a bigger scale.

Sim City 2000 was such a great game. Used to spend hours playing that.

I've been playing the Sim City series since the 90s. When I was helping my parents clean out their old house a few months ago I found my old SimCity box with the 3.5 inch disks in them. And I'm scared for tomorrow. There's already a patch out for it, which to me says that EA pushed the devs to deliver before they were ready. The premise seems childish as well, but hopefully it will be dynamic enough to keep it fun and interesting.

Unfortunately, it's on my "holiday list". Which means I'm only getting it if it goes on sale for the holidays. Otherwise, 4 will have to hold me over until sometime in 08.

I liked the idea behind the change but early reviews have not been kind.

I want to get SC4 now because I finally got a system that will run it with ease.

My favorite sim city is still Sim City for the SNES ;D I'm probably going to pass on this one, though, as Sim City 4 is good enough for me until a true successor is released.
