Yeah... although I liked Morrowind's a lot more (not Oblivion-bashing or anything). Aside from the Morrowind theme, I liked a lot of the music from the Age of Empires games (and AOM), the MOH:Allied Assault theme song, and the music from Pharaoh.
Anyway, "Propaganda" is a great song from Beyond Good and Evil (A French Rap, sounds great). And because Metal Gear Solid was techically on the PC, I will say MGS Main theme from the third game in the series.
I don't listen to in game music, usually can't stand it, I just turn it off and play music from another program. However the Menu Music for Rise Of Nations has to be my favorite, always got me pumped to pwn some noobs
Though I loved Hell March from Red Alert. I have been recently immersed in Pegasus Bridge from Call of Duty, remember at the end of the american campaign where your in that house and everything is coming at you from all directions. Then the music comes on the battle gets worse and worse then the planes come in.
Pretty much anything that Jesper Kyd has touched on the PC has been great. I would say that March of the Empire in Freedom Fighters is his best work so far. Deus Ex and Hitman 2 Silent Assassin have great scores along with Vampire: Bloodlines. I am starting to become a collector of game soundtracks.
There are lots I like. Hard to pick one out of. Supreme commander, hell march, bf2 theme, civ 4 theme, deus ex theme, most of generals/zero hour songs, stalker menu, far cry menu, BF2142 songs, unreal tournament theme, some hl/hl2 songs.
Anyone played Lucasarts Outlaws? The soundtrack from that was Ennio Morricone compositions (from Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, etc.). I remember listening to the soundtrack when I was not playing the game (something I have done less than a handful of times). So the main theme in that game was sweet, very epic.
No favorites but many favorite ones. Hell March 1 and 2 from Red Alert games, zerg music in Starcraft (and brood war) and the intro music to bf 1942. I was in awe the first time I heard it :)
FIFA series has SO many good songs. They have Muse and The Young Punx in FIFA07. Oh, and this song "you are the one". Man I can listen to FIFA songs all day. FIFA06 had good songs too, and lets not forget Black Eyed Peas I think in the world cup game. (that I didn't get but saw at my friend's house).
The entire lineage 2 soundtrack is superb and by far one of the, if not the best soundtracks for any PC game. As for best song, any of them are contenders.

I couldn't agree more, too bad the game wasn't that popular. I haven't played the game in years but I'll still listen to the music every once in awhile.
Since no one said it. In Battlefield VietNam you could turn on a vehicle radio in multiplayer and everyone heard what you had playing, and whenever I had a gunship chopper I ALWAYS had "The Ride Of The Valkyries" playing ala Apocalypse Now. "Run Charlie run!"
