Singularity sound not working

The sound in Singularity isn't working, it works perfectly with other games but this is the only one that doesn't worked. I've tried everything, checked the sound settings. And it doesn't show up in the volume mixer.

Do u have a dial up modem? If u do, disable it in device manager.

Wow, 1 reply very helpful. No, I don't have dial-up. The sound was working before, it just suddenly stopped working.

was the sound working in singularity before??try changing your default sound format to 16bit from the control panel.

Try this and possibly search more of the steam forums since they are usually quite helpful. Wish i could do more to help :(

Do you have it on Steam?

If so try right clicking it, go to properties, and validate all game files/cache... It may help...

If not you may have to either A.... Re-install your audio (soundcard) drivers, they can become corrupt over time. I know I played Borderlands just fine, then out of no where its the only game (and I play a good bit of games) that is a literal slide show.... Re-installed the GPU drivers, fixed the issue.

B.... Re-install the game itself... (make sure to backup saved game files, just in case)
