I recently got some of the Skullcandy (15$ version) headphones expecting another piece of crap to replace my missing Shure SE210's... (I'll find them). When I put then into my ipod and then into my ear, I must say I was actually quite pleased with the quality. These things are great for the money!! They fairly good bass levels and hit the highs and lows of rock music with no problems at all.

What do you guys think aboutthis new brand?

Yeah I can see that happening. The wire casing is VERY flimsy. But still, were 15$!

Eh, for 70$ you would have been better off with the Shure SE110's... MUCH better for the price.

Skullcandy don't actually make any headphones, all they are are a bunch of designers and marketers. The headphones are repackaged versions of a Chinese company. They're a fasion icon and should be ignored if you're looking for quality listening devices.

Sennheiser HD201 says hi.

As for SkullCandy, as Markop said, they are nothing more than "hip" fashion accessories. Sound quality is mediocre at best.

They can be beat as they're just repackaged. The company that produces Skullcandys also has they're own line with the exact same technology, the Skullcandys just get a different paint job on the case.

I had a pair of Bose Triport ear buds and they were crap, started vibrating and they wouldn't stay in my ear, the sound was nothing special either for $100. Then I got a pair of Shure earbuds and while they sound somewhat nice and clear, there is absolutely no bass . Then a friend bought me a pair of $10 Skullcandy ear buds which to my surprise has decent clarity and a good amount of bass, better than both the more expensive Bose and Shure ear buds, go figure.

This looks like a stealth marketing thread. And anyone that considers Skullcandy to be anything besides a fashionable brand (Which is lame) needs to get their mental health cheched, and their bank account checked.

had a skullcandy headset, lasted 6 months and I took fairly good care of it... one day I was just about to put them on, and the s**t broke. The plastic snapped in two. So I'll try to get my hands one those Sennheiser or something a bit more expensive. :)

Get a BeyerDynamic DT770 PRO 80 Ohm. The damn thing is nearly indestructible. Believe me, I rarely take care of my headphones, and all my old plastic Sony/Panasonic/whateverbrand headphones broke within 6 months. I leave this baby on the floor because I barely have to worry about it. And the sound quality is superb.
