Crazy server mobo that's for sure.
But say if you have two Xeon X5460 CPUs in there, and say two CF HD870s X2s (I assume the board still supports CF) or two SLI 8800 Ultras in there...
I'm thinking you could conquer Crysis at everything set at very high without any issues. :D

A guy I know got a skull trail and popped in two of those xeon's, but unfortunately he's an nvidia fanboy so he wouldn't buy any hd3870's.Churchill_Croc
I thought the Skulltrail platform had not been released yet.
At least, so I thought unless I missed something.
I'd obviously love to have one of those, but the cost is quite prohibitive. (I hear that it'll be 600+ US$ for the mobo itself, which will only have a limited production run. To make matters worse, I hear that single-CPU operation is unsupported, meaning that you HAVE to buy two CPUs on the spot instead of buying one now and getting another one later, when they get cheaper. And, since these are LGA771 Xeons we're talking about, we can easily have the cost of the mobo equaled by the CPUs just with the entry-level models! Of course, not filling both sockets defeats the purpose of such a board in the first place...) Since I don't plan on having a render-farm-in-a-box or anything like that, the Q6600 that I already have is more than adequate for my needs. (That said, I wonder what kind of crazy physics could be done with eight Penryn cores at 4.0 GHz or so if developers actually made use of them...no need for a PhysX, hopefully?)NamelessPlayer
You could try putting the costs as a tax deduction? :P
Yeah, I need 8 CPU cores for professional rendering. What, those two R680's? Yeah, those are for...professional workuse too...
