Skyrim and SSAO

So did anyone manage to enable SSAO for the game? I tried with the nVidiainspector but it seems it won't do anything. Also founda link to an ENB mod. Has anyone tried it? Thanks..

ive only opened it, hit apply, and never opened it ever again. You need to select tesv.exe as the game to apply it to

I must say I'm a dummy.. I had it on all along. Just turned it off and saw that there's a difference. The game really looks different without it, in a way that I can't believe that the developers didn't put it out as a standart optionf22rf

It kills performance. I went from 120 fps to 30-40

So when I click "Play" in Steam, this will work? Or do I have to create a desktop shortcut for TESV.exe from my game folder? Elann2008

Okay this might come out as the most noobish question of all time, but can I enable SSAO on my AMD card, and if so how do I do it? I have a 6870. Thanks!Gamerperson33

I use the method as shown in the pics. It makes the game much more vibrant. Use it with the "enhanced night sky" mod and the nights are beautiful.

Basically, you don't even need to tweak your ini file beyond the FOV and water effects.. just turn on SSAO and it improves the graphics noticeably. I tested it myself and everything pops. Looks great but of course, performance takes a nice hit.Elann2008

at first i thought ssao was not THAT important , but in Skyrim it made a huge difference.

as someone said before things really pop up , esspecialy the gras looks more realistic.

anyway , i"m on ATi , and i use enb mod to activate ssao.
