So did anyone manage to enable SSAO for the game? I tried with the nVidiainspector but it seems it won't do anything. Also founda link to an ENB mod. Has anyone tried it? Thanks..

works flawlessly on mine
It doesn't work for me for some reason.. after you hit the apply button do you keep both inspector windows open and just start the game? Do they have to be in a specific folder?Maybe it doesn't work with SLI enabled? Do androids dream of electric sheep?..I must say I'm a dummy.. I had it on all along. Just turned it off and saw that there's a difference. The game really looks different without it, in a way that I can't believe that the developers didn't put it out as a standart optionf22rfI believe it.. they didn't do it for Oblivion either and I wasn't surprised when they didn't put SSAO in Skyrim.
dont set it to max quality, it rapes the fpsIt kills performance. I went from 120 fps to 30-40

Okay this might come out as the most noobish question of all time, but can I enable SSAO on my AMD card, and if so how do I do it? I have a 6870. Thanks!Gamerperson33
not that i know of
I use the method as shown in the pics. It makes the game much more vibrant. Use it with the "enhanced night sky" mod and the nights are beautiful.

Well considering Crytek didn't develop SSAO in games until Crysis in 2007, it is kinda expected that Oblivion from 2006 didn't have it.

the screenshots i posted are using the "Quality" setting, not "High Quality"Basically, you don't even need to tweak your ini file beyond the FOV and water effects.. just turn on SSAO and it improves the graphics noticeably. I tested it myself and everything pops. Looks great but of course, performance takes a nice hit.Elann2008The only thing that I noticed SSAO being bad for is inside caves... You get black spots on the grey misty backgrounds. Also, how do you change the FOV and water effects?
