Please post your performance and any tweaks you have or know....... Please provide CPU/GPU, OS, resolution, video settings, patch/driver, and fp/s. Thank you.

Console Commands:

Hit tilde ~

then:

Console Commands

tgm
Good ol' God Mode means you're completely invulnerable to everything, and pretty damn god-like. And no one needs to write a book about you or anything.

tcl
No clipping lets you go literally anywhere in the game world, from the top of the sky to the bottom of the, er, sky. Fascinating if you want to witness the game world.

unlock
Can't find that vital key? Lockpicking skill too low? Simply highlight the door or chest you want to unlock, and type "unlock" into the console. If only this worked in real life.

psb
Every single spell in Skyrim is now yours!

player.advlevel
Automatically level up – perfect if you hate playing games.

caqs
Automatically complete all the stages of your primary quest – perfect if you hate playing games.

showracemenu
Unhappy with your blind, inbred-looking Bosmer chap? You can adjust the way your character looks just like you did at the start of Skyrim – but this will reset your level and skills.

player.modav skill X
Where "skill" is the skill you want to modify, and X is the amount you want to modify it by. Skills are inputted via their in-game names without spaces, apart from Archery which is "Marksman", and Speech, which is known as "Speechcraft".

player.additem ITEM ###
Every single item in Skyrim has a code, a bit like an Argos catalogue of fantasy objects. You'll find them all on GameFront page– replace "ITEM" with the item's code, and "###" with the number of items you want. Now your dreams of owning 47 cabbage potato soups can come true.

player.additem 0000000f ###
A simple way to get some free gold – any number between 001 and 999 will do.

player.additem 0000000a "###"
Running low on lockpicks? Enter the number you require here and they'll magically appear.

addshout
Combine with the codes onSkyrim Wiki pageto add your selected shout.

tm
Toggles all in-game menus – perfect if you want to take some screenshots to convince elderly relatives that Skyrim is where you went on your holidays.

tmm
Followed by 0 or 1 turns map markers on or off.

tfc
Not Team Fortress ****c, unfortunately. However, you will be able to access the flycam and pretend to be a dragon.

tai
Toggles AI, which means people won't interact with you, or do anything at all.

tcai
Turns combat AI on or off, turning dragons into placid beasts who act like you aren't there. A bit like cats.

tdetect
This one lets you behave like a little rapscallion, as it turns naughty business detection (stealing, murdering, doing a poo in the woods etc) on or off. You'll still get caught if you try pickpocketing, though.

player.setcrimegold ###
Adjust your wanted level with this handy command – setting it to zero resets your current amount of wantedness.

player.setlevel ##
Up or down your player level as you see fit. Perfect if you hate playing games.

player.setav speedmult ###
Want to run like Uwe Boll after a night on the vindaloo? Set this number to anything more than 100 to speed up movement.

movetoqt
Go straight to your quest target.

kill
Target the thing you want to kill, type this command and they'll fall over in a very dead manner. We wish the command was "Laputan Machine", though.

killall
Kills everything in the vicinity. Literally everything.

help
Lists every single console command. We've put this further down the list because we want you to actually read this article.

resurrect
Target the thing you want to bring back to life, and they'll get up in a very alive manner.

player.modav carryweight #
Tired of getting tired? Up your carryweight and you'll be able to transport more goodies.

setpcfame #
When will I, will I be famous? When you up your fame number.

setpcinfamy #
He's not just famous, he's in-famous! Up it here.

player.setav fatigue #
Up this to stop feeling so tired all the time.

player.setav health #
Up your health here.

coc qasmoke
Bethesda's handily included a room with every single in-game item in it – type this command to go straight there. It might take a while to load – there are thousands of items here. Type "coc Riverwood" to return to the game.

qqq
Quit the game without having to go through any of those pesky menus.

removeallitems
Target a character and type this and you'll get all their items – including their clothes. Note: does not work in real life.

sexchange
Change your character's gender. Note: does not work in real life.

set timescale to #
This defaults at 16 – 1 is realtime. Up it to experience crazy timelapse-****Skyrim.

I am running setup below in my sig, however it runs fine on a single 6870, (runs worse on CF) with everything Utra, no AA, 1080p, 11.8 CAP5 driver, 60+ fp/s. No mods/tweaks.

Here are some commands for those who want to change FOV, oe cheat. Either way, I took some shot to see the difference. I say sweet spot for me is 85.

Turning down AA and AF to 4 and 8 respectively has greatly helped performance for me. My specs are below.

I do find that sometimes while on a horse my framerate will be in the 40s-60s but the camera movements is quite jarring. More so than just being on a horse should IMO.

Also OP, why are you using 11.8? 11.11 is the current version.

Turn shadows to medium and 2 x AA with FXAA is the best for me. It give me a great boost and still looked more or less the same as maxed. The game is horribly optimised though its sickening

I get around 120 Frames Per Second with everything maxed out. I even went into the.ini files and made everything render more then the game's default max settings go.

I can't remember all the exact add ons and changes I made. They are all over the internet though.

120 FPS everything maxed out? Quit lying

Anyway OP, I play with 11.11 and CAP 1, everything maxed (except 2x AA) along with some ini changes to make the shadows better and a couple texture mods, at 1920x1080. I also use RadeonPro to disable CFX while in the game since my FPS is considerably better with only one GPU . I get about 60 FPS average although it's hardly rare for FPS to dip down into the 40s and in towns it can go into the low 30s.

Because 11.8 CAP5 profile performs best for me for BF3, and well for Skyrim 1.1, so...BF3 is REALLY SENSITIVE to different settings/drivers, I best leave it as it is.

^ Okay, just rechecked... "It goes from between 70 - 120 depending on the environment" -- This is with higher end tweaks that forces the game to render more than its vanilla state. Maybe those tests were done before the driver release?

Should never expect dual GPU to function at release, AMD is currently working on the Crossfire profile for Skyrim.

Still working on Skyrim CAP - definitely aiming to get it released ASAP - upcoming performance driver will include other updates as wellCatalystCreator-AndrewD-twitter

Which tweaks did you do? Only ones I found to render more was for trees to render further away and also for grass. Trees set to 300000 and grass set to 25000. But it still has the bad pop in for objects especially with some terrain. I wish there was a way to make the terrain LOD go further out and also for the water. Getting a little far away from water falls on streams makes them turn into frozen ice chunks that look ugly. I also get flickering LOD textures from the snow on far away mountains.

I am thinking about turning my MSAA off and switching to FXAA only instead. Have everything on Ultra atm.

It just could be that the 460 got great drivers.. as they always have really. I had 460 1GB sli, and they performed great. Never had issues. Different GPU's, different problems and issues. Sometimes, same issues like as with performance.

Up until now i was getting 30+ on my profile rig and after i used the top 10 mods performance thing it ran smooth for a while everything running perfectly then bam! slow downs as bad as going from 3fps to sometimes 5fps. Oddly enough i've quite used to it like this and now even watching a motion gif looks fluid and nice
Obvious joke towards the end
I can max ouf the game on a single 6870 minus AA, but everything else on, or max....so I don't think you should be suprised to run max on yours.

I meant for mouse + kb users who would get better framerates with the option turned off since it's turned on by default, although it is worth noting the game was designed around the X360 controller.

What does it fix exactly? I had it on for hours but turned it off yesterday. I haven't a huge difference in anything for some reason.
edit: Hmm, I guess my framerate is irratic enough that I didn't make the connection between turning it off and geting more frames per second. :P

I'm using:
Vista 32-bit (Windows 7 64-bit soon...),
6950 2GB,
E8400 @ 3.0Ghz,
4GB DDR2 RAM

Running it on "High" with AA down to 4x, AF up one notch from where it starts, Decals up one notch from where they start, Sky Reflections on water 'On', and some view distance stuff turned up a bit. Solid framerate, I think averaging around 30 - 40.
I'll run FRAPs when I get home and see what it actually is. Some areas drop my framerate, and 30 isn't that great. So I should probably change some settings.

I think I heard about a tweak for the shadows that didn't really effect performance but made them look better. I didn't check it out though and don't know what it was. :(

It fixes some of the framerate issues as well as the menus, unstable framerate can be bad for GPU health.
