Sleeping Dogs ($9.99) and Tomb Raider ($17.49) are both on sale on Amazon. I enjoy playing all types of games and cannot decide which 1 to buy. Based on peronsal experiences with both games which 1 would you recommend out of the two.

Hmmm...tough for me...both games rock, though i think you'll get more bang for your buck with sleeping dogs.

+1 for Sleeping Dogs. Both are good games, but the Hong Kong undercover cop crime drama story of Sleeping Dogs (with a lot of top voice talent) was far more appealing to me than the semi-generic, Indiana Jones-esque archeology-mixed-with-mysticism story and host of forgettable characters from Tomb Raider.

Sleeping Dogs is a fantastic, must-play game, with a great PC version. $10? Don't hesitate. Get it now!

I prefer Tomb Raider. Sleeping Dog is a good game but it just wasn't able to hold my attention.

Sleeping Dogs is a great game. Shitty DLC sadly. But the game itself is fun and has a cool setting.

Couldn't get into the new Tomb Raider.

Both are excellent and I prefer Tomb Raider, but for that price, I'd definitely pick up Sleeping Dogs.

I say Sleeping Dogs. Tomb Raider is good but after you finish it you won't return to the game again.

Sleeping dogs is awesome. Tomb raider is not. The choice is obvious.

I just finished Tomb Raider yesterday and it was okay for what it was.  There were far too many QTEs for my liking and the last boss battle has to be one of the worst fights I've ever played in any game (it was just terrible).  Oddly enough, I've just restarted Sleeping Dogs again after not liking the game at all during my first attempt at playing it.  I'm not very far into it but I am going to give it more of a chance this time around and see how it goes.  My initial impression is still not very high.

Haven't played Tomb Raider yet but Sleeping Dogs was excellent. One of the best sand box games I've played in years.

I didn't expect so many people to prefer Sleeping dogs over Tomb Raider. I thought Sleeping Dogs got boring by the 10 hour mark.

You know I enjoyed both, so you can't go wrong, but I honestly enjoyed Tomb Raider more. I liked the 'tombs' and finding the collectables a lot more than I usually do in games like this. I felt like Sleeping Dogs, while really enjoyable, got awfully repetitive... and then it just ended abruptly. It's got a tremendous driving engine, and the soundtrack was exceptional, but Tomb Raider by a hair.

both games are really solid. Tomb Raider is good with it's uncharted like combat and stealth. It's a relaxing game to play for me. Sleeping dogs has some great driving / melee combat and the shooting is great but heavily limited. Sleeping dogs probably gives you more value and the story is a lot more intriguing. I would hit the Dogs at that price.

I couldn't get in to Sleeping Dogs for whatever reason but I really enjoyed Tomb Raider despite the QTE's and lackluster story. Naughty Dog could learn a lot from the devs of that game when it comes to actual gameplay mechanics.

Both games are great so it all depends on how much time you want out of the game you buy. Tomb Raider is about 7-10hours and Sleeping dogs is 12-20hours depending on your speed and willingness to do other than just main mission stuff.

Currently 50% off sleeping dogs and all it's DLC.

Alot of the DLC is just skins though. Some of it is missions and stuff.

Sleeping Dogs.

Tomb Raider is short, and the multiplayer is kinda bad.

Tomb Raider has a good story, but once you beat the game there isn't much to do other than collect all of the GPS caches/complete all the tombs/etc.

If the enemies actually respawned, this game would have more replay value. Unfortunately they don't, so if you kill all of the enemies and beat the game, you won't have anyone to fight when you go to complete other tasks making it kind of boring.

You can't really go wrong with either game, though.

another vote for sleeping dogs here.

I preferred the story, I liked the main character better. I liked how the game had more depth with its story aswell, that people were not just flat stereotypes (with one glaring exception).

The driving wasgreat, the combat was likely the best in any game of that kind. It looks stunning.

The downside for sleeping dogs is that is is not very long all in all, you DO get some repetetive missions (like you do in all open world games).

So basicly this is likely one of the better open world "crime" games Ive ever playied, where most people are likable, or simply makes you understand the logic in thier point of view. The DLC I would pass, it is none too good.

Tomb Raider on the other hand is what you would expect, it is good for what it does, but there are rarely things that thrills you, it is very by the books. So a fun ride, but you will likely never pick it up again after you finished it.

That's about $7.50 too much for Tomb Raider. Its a pretty average game. I haven't played the other thing.

The vehicle handling in Sleeping Dogs is dog shit and really put me off enjoying the game. Tomb Raider is one of my favorite games this year so I will go with that.

Can't say my opinion on Sleeping Dogs (haven't played it), but I picked up Tomb Raider for $9.99 on the second day of the sale and it's good fun.
