I recently got Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The frame rate is so slow that all my movements are jerky. My hardware meets or exceeds the requirement for the game...Intel Pentium 4 3GHz CPU, ATI Radeon X1950 video card, 2 GB RAM, and gobs of hard drive. I don't have problems with any other games I play. Anyone have any idea of what's wrong and how to fix it? I've tried turning down the video but didn't notice any improvement.

dont take this the wrong way but your computer is a bit weak, you may try different video card drivers but i dont think it's going to help. The vegas games didnt run so well ......I ran it on a core 2 duo e6600 with an nvidia 8800 gts and occasionally get a frame hitch so.......

I remember playing the first Rainbow Six: Vegas on a 7800GT and a Athlon 64 3200+. I had 30ish fps most of the time, but some parts were nearly unplayable. Seeing as how your video card and cpu is old as hell, and not much better than what I had; don't expect much. Plus, both Vegas 1 and 2 are kind of poorly optimized.

I play it on an Intel e8400 dual core 3.2Ghz with dual 8800Gt's and it runs smooth as butter. Never a problem and I am level 18 elite.

Your processor is the bare minimum required to play the game. That's your issue right there, bare minimum usually means will load. :P
