Small CPU looking thing next to the normal CPU fell off?

In my old PC I found out that this fell off, is there a way to fix it myself? The PC seems to work fine still. What does this thing do?

Do you know what a cpu looks like? Is it your southbridge? A capaciter?

Fell off? :lol: Just how old is this computer?

The only machine I know of which had problems with chips "falling off" (more like creeping out of their sockets due to heat) was the Apple III.

It's a 3 year old Vaio, never had anything but problems with it.

Huh?, that's still confusing...

You mean a MOSFET, capacitor or something? Or do you mean a chip (black thing with little pins on the side...)

I dont want to get suspended(I just got off from it lol) again so im staying the hell away ffrom there and off topic for at least a week... then get suspended again hehehehe
