Hey guys,

I had everything ready to reinstall my OS. I like to do this every 6 months. Even though I've done it several times, I am having a problem that I can not figure out. I go to the BIOS and change my boot order to the CD rom. Then I restart my PC. It comes up and says "press any key to boot from CD". I do this, and install of getting the blue install screen, Windows XP launches. I can't figure out how to get to the screen where I can reformat my hard drive. Can someone help get me going?

Thanks.

I usually just use install disk that came with my hard drive. In the past, I've used old Win98 startup disks, to first delete the NTFS partition, then create a new primary partition. After that I'd run the windows install disk and let it format the unformatted primary partition in NTFS. Off hand, I can't remember where the option to format comes in during installation. :(

BTW, you might want to recheck your BIOS...since it doesn't seem to be booting from the optical drive first. If you have to, disable your hard drive as a boot drive and try again. :)
