So when I got windows 10 I was about to play crash bandicoot when I realized my playstation3 controller stopped working. So i just stopped using it and used the keyboard.

But now i want to get a SNES controller adapter so I can play with that but I want to know if it would work, since my ps3 controller doesn't work.

If you know of a way to use my PS3 controller again (i used ds3 tool) or if a SNES controller works with an adapter please let me know.

Uninstall the shitty Motionjoy drivers/DS3 tool and try the SCP package.

The DS3 tool was so glitchy and also giving me bluescreens, until I finally got fed up with it and searched for something better.

Installed the SCP drivers and everything has been great so far.

I'm on windows 7 though.

@bussinrounds: i dont think that would work as the 360 controller drivers arent for win10.

@bussinrounds: Nvm, I found out that windows 10 has built in drivers. ( I should have expected that)

Just a heads up since you're new here: They get salty when you talk about emulation because ??? so I'd avoid the topic.

Go and make a post on 4chan or 8chan's /v/ board where you can post about piracy, emulation and basically anything else you want to.

@Big_Red_Button: this is about a controller, not the games/emulator.

Also, I am really confused on how to use the SCPdriver. I installed it, extracted it and then opened the scpdiver.exe and when i hit install, I dont get the install summary and it doesn't work so I dont know what I'm doing.

@captainmerica: I wish I could help you, mate, but I just use a wired 360 controller. I like the 360 gamepad a lot more than the PS3 one.

I really wish I had never bought a 360 last gen. I got Halo to play with my friends, because we've always enjoyed those games and it's a fun party game, but there wasn't really much else to play that I couldn't play a better version of on my computer.

I'm assuming you've done a lot of googling and trying to solve the problem yourself? All I can really suggest is try to parse tech forums for some folks who have had the same problem as you. There has always been SOMEBODY who had the same problem as you. See what worked for them and try that, if it doesn't work find somebody else who found a different solution.

Sorry friend, wish I could be more help.

@Big_Red_Button: the only real reason I want to use a ps3 controller is for games like outland or mega man or other platformers because I get a working D-pad.

@captainmerica: I really feel you there.

I love how the 360 pad feels, but god damn, that Dpad is atrocious. How did that ever pass R&D?

The left stick is better than that shitty dpad for those games. How crazy is that? It's the main reason I can't play fighting games on PC, because anyone worth their salt either has a proper stick or at least a pad with a decent dpad.

@Big_Red_Button: I know right? I couldn't decide whether to get injustice for PC or PS3 but I went with PS3 for better controls and local multiplayer.

@captainmerica: They aren't online right now, but I have some friends who swear by their PS3 pads they have hooked up to their computers. If they were online I would just give you their Steam tags and let you ask them.

Maybe start from square one. There are a couple programs designed to accommodate PS3 pad use. I can't remember their names, but maybe Google search "PS3 controller on PC" or something like that and find the tutorials. Maybe your drivers are out of date, maybe something else is wrong, I'm not sure.

It might take a bit of time but I'm sure you can get it working and have your gamepad kicking ass and taking names.

@Big_Red_Button: I can probably find a step by step one on YouTube, but those tend to be unreliable and barely ever work.
