snipers in online gaming

I have nothing bad with snipers but have anyone on here find it annoying when you are in a game and snipers are the one who are getting the most kills and when you look at the score board the snipers are the ones who has the most kills?

and does it get annoying when you spawn back in you get killed no less then 1 second you get back in the game?

games like.BF BC2 is one example where snipers domanate the game.

why cant they make a actaull war game where it forces EVERYONE to fight. i mean get a assult rifle and go up and fight instead of giving you the option of staying one place and hide like a baby and shoot all you want. i still yet seen a online shooter that has no sniper rifles.

and i bet if a game comes out like that. you will see a good chance that eaither side will have a fair chance of winning a round

I don't mind there being snipers, I just mind it when there are TONS of them. I usually find if you're good with cover and just keep an open eye you can take out snipers even as assault class. Teams need a good balance. If you have good snipers on your team, they'll weed out the bad snipers on the other team and vice versa. The less experienced snipers will probably switch classes because they're being mopped up. If you don't have any good snipers on your team it's hard to make forward progress because anyone who snipes will have an advantage. So it's all a delicate balance, just be good at what you do and serve the role that your team needs and you'll do good. I don't think snipers are overpowered in BFBC2, but you can definitely take advantage of them if teams fail to adapt, but that's true for any class.Marfoo

yeah thats the point most time the teams are very unbalance. and one team take the avantage of that.

Its not like its easy mode with snipers, in most games sniping is harder than using assault rifles/SMGs.

If you're in a game where a sniper is on top of the ladder chances are your team isn't very good or they're just pro.

u know i was thinking of the same game lol.

well idk if anyone but i got the new MOH beta. and i have to say snipers do have a harder time to rack up kills then BC2.

I love being a sniper in BC2 and pulling off headshots at 400m and topping the scoreboard. Those points are well-earned.

Yeah its kinda annoying.. but honestly the people with assault rifles etc are having way more fun.. let the snipers be snipers. And if your getting killed 1sec after respawn its not a very thought about game.. On most games theres a 5-15sec gap after respawn where you cannot be attacked.

go play some solid arena shooters i like SS: TSE the sniper is trahs in an arena b/c its horribly inaccurate when everyones moving around you at practically 360 degrees :P

I don't really mind snipers and they fit into the context of most games its just when the entire team goes sniper E.g. BFBC2/TF2 and all they contribute little to actual objectives and winning. Its funny though looking at the scoreboard as the snipers might have a good kdr but are low when it comes to points.

Sniping in CSS is lame, can't speak for other games. Awpers get anoyying, I respect scouters. Still I know how to bunny hop pro-ly and they typically miss me being i am going 200mph at which point I deagle them in the face, or miss due to the no regs and use random teamate as bait.

Sniping is good for achieve a high k/d ratio, but sniping is usually harder to score and kill in numbers as high as a close-to mid range combat.

If the sniper rifles had a little better physics (I know BC2 has bulletdrop but it's far from accurate) and didn't do a ton of damage compared to everything else I'd be fine with them.

if it takes skill and patience to snipe then no, but games that a sniper can just point, fire and kill you instantly without any aim adjusting or anything, that annoys me.

If you think about it, a snipers job is to literally piss the other team off. People whine about it, yet in the end, snipers benefit their team a whole lot. All the kills they get go into helping their team break through enemy lines and complete their objective, and what do snipers get in return? A full team of haters. Oh and did I mention that Snipers in BC2 also assist in spotting enemies? How many spot assists do I get per game? A LOT!

Also, someone even mentioned that they don't stand still in combat, well against a sniper who knows what he is doing, that's not really going to help, unless you move quickly from cover to cover.

Snipers play much bigger a role than you people think...

To be honest, I am a sniper. No no, not the "camping" sniper, I am a combat sniper. I don't stay back and watch the fireworks, I am in the midst of the fireworks and I am shooting someone with a sniper from close range.ExESGO

That's just pretty pointless... A snipers job is to stay back and assist the team by spotting and picking off enemies around the corner. You're better off being a medic or engineer to really help your team up close.

I'd prefer my M16 or UMP45 for close to mid range, thanks.

Usually I don't snipe, but in BC2, I found I could do it with a recoiless rifle.

Guess who stands around all game and fires off eight rockets per life, getting almost to the top of the list? :D

You can deploy motion mines just as well as from far away, as well as spot enemies.

You have to be literally looking right at the guy to spot him, and you can do it once every 30 seconds or so. A boost and a downgrade from BF2's version.

I get that error too, sometimes my commands work and other times they don't. My theory is that it's based upon a skill or veterancy system.

As for spotting, I'm not sure.

You can deploy motion mines just as well as from far away, as well as spot enemies.

The difference is that you cannot helpcapture a point when you're in a building on the other side of the map.

Yeah but what annoys me the most is no matter how much they try to weaken them (eg: bc2 was bullet drop) they still get all the kills.

Another thing that pisses me off is....well say you spot one of them and you got little time till he shoots you and kills you with 1 shot due to its high accuracy and being crouched, you can put a few shots on the sniper, injuring him, but he still kills you. Thats why i prefer games like cod when assault rifles can kill fast and sniper dont get the upper hand due to superior firepower.

and for people who are new to BC2 gets tehre as kicked.

do the upgrades on teh class helps out a lot? and does the body armor helps a lot too?
