Now that its out how do all you guys who played them before on BF2 feel about them? I had only played Wake Island before they were remastered for BF3. I personally love all 4 maps and think they are a huge leap in what BF3 actually is on its own. They feel so much more hectic, chaotic and rewarding.

Also the maps are fricken huge compared to BF3 maps. It's crazy how small they made them for BF3. I think I kinda know now why all the BF2 guys were complaining about BF3's maps

Excellent,I like how theyve upped the destruction and the size of maps are better,Just played 'Strike at Karkand' and I recognised all the little spots I used for sniping as I did in BF2,Heh! especially on top of the TV station,Nice bit of snipeage up there :)

I did try Wake Island(hated it) and Sharqi Peninsula(loved it). I have yet to try Gulf of Oman(got disconnected from the game when i tried to play it) and i will avoid Karkand due to horrible experience with grenade spam.

They stay true to the original maps. Plus, the destruction really makes the experience that much more unique.

It makes up for the bad launch maps. Hopefully the next batch of DLC is just as good .

Never played BF2 long enough to really remember karkand, but in the BF3 version I haven't seen anything resembling excessive grenade spam with maybe the exception of "B".

Love the new maps :)

Karkand is as awesome as I remember it, and dont get me started on Wake Island, love that one to ;)

Can only see myself goign back to the vanilla maps once in awhile for Caspian and Baaazar.

Hadnt played BF3 for more then a few hours at once, but with these new maps played 5-6 hours today lol.

I agree.

The new maps are almost like a different game

Its so much more fun. I get destroyed sometimes but I still feel like I am helping and providing my team with good support no matter what role. the maps are very well designed too.
