So do any of you also play on consoles?

I'm mainly asking because there seems to be alarge rift between the community of console gamers and PC gamers. I'm not trying to start a flame war or convert anyone or claim that one is better than the other.

I personally am a console gamer. I've tried out a few of the more popular, olderPC games (WoW, CS, Half-Life, Diablo, Quake series) and while I found them enjoyable, I don't plan on making the plunge and buying a high end rig.

"No, but I have in the past and may start again someday" - Had PS2 + XBox, but no interest in owning/playing any console atm but cannot rule out any such possibility in the future

Option 2 for me. I loved my SNES, PSX and XBox, but I've been mostly a PC gaming fan. I may consider consoles again sometimes in the future, but PC has my attention for now. Occasionally, I do play with my Nintendo DS :P

My last console was a SEGA Megadrive. There are a few console games that I like enough to tempt me to buy new consoles (the Soul Calibur games, for example), but I never found a truly overwhelming reason to take that last step and fork out the cash. And now, strangely enough, as I start to feel a little more like a casual gamer, I feel even less urge to buy a console. Weird.

I bought my 360 before I got into PC gaming, so I still play it every now and then.

I have a high-end gaming PC, but I still play on my roommate's Xbox 360 and PS3 occasionally. I'm also happy consoles exist, as they made gaming acceptable and more accessible to the public.

I prefer PC heavily because of the customization and graphical detail it offers.

I have a nice gaming PC, a 360 and a PS3. What can I say, I like games :) I use the PS3 for single player games and exclusives, and the 360 for multiplayer games that my friends have, and exclusives.

I spend most of my time on PC, though. Better graphics, and I prefer playing on my monitor instead of my 32" LCD TV. The 360 has some nice features for multiplayer community type stuff, but it's inherently laggy. However, since all my friends play on 360, I tend to play it as well. No point in playing the better version if you have no one to play it with..

PC + PS2 = more games than I have time to play.

Right now, I'm juggling Risen, Mass Effect, and Tales of Legendia

I am a long-term PC gamer, but over the course of the past year I've been buying and playing some games on the X360 console. We already had a PS2 and Xbox in the house (which were used almost exclusively by my kids), but we added the X360 during Christmas last year. When my gaming rig died earlier this year, I decided to try out the X360 as an alternative. Other financial commitments meant delaying getting a new PC.

I plan to get another gaming rig sometime early next year (you can usually pick up some good deals as the product lines change), because I am still, at heart, a PC gamer. But I see absolutely nothing wrong with console gaming. It offers a slightly different experience, but people should game on whatever platform they prefer.

All this 'PC player vs Console player' and 'System Wars' is just immature nonsense. Just because you play games on a different piece of hardware doesn't make you any better (or worse) than anyone else.

I still pop in a game now and then on my original Xbox and play some old games that I'm still fond of....I am planning on purchasing a 360 or PS3 sometime in the near future to use with my new 52" SONY my wife and I just purchased. I like the fact you can use them to stream movies through with Netflix ....and though I'm a PC gamer...I may get an occasional game or two and take a spin on what ever console I decide on.

I've owned and played a fair bit of NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy. I own and play very little of PSP I just recently got my PS3 and have been enjoying a few games on it, Uncharted 2 namely. However I would still call myself a PC gamer. I still think games are more interesting on it.

Yea, I will even say my library for consoles games are much more then my PC game library. I also enjoy gaming at Arcades when I get the chance. In addition, I was a Pokemon master in 1998' when handhelds were marvelous to own. Over the last two years I have been more specific into PC gaming though due to pricing/financial reasons. At heart, I'm a hybrid Gamer whom enjoys a fantastic game on any platform.

What use to kill me with owning multiple consoles was my gaming space from tv to consoles had an arsenal amount of wires with controllers, system links, Nes zapper, arcade stick for Pacman, av wires and adapters, lol...

I have an NES, a SNES, a Wii, and i just recently got a DS. I used to have a 360 but got sick of it and sold it. I don't play consoles all that much, but it is a lot of fun to play Wario Ware: Smooth Moves with some friends or play some Punchout!!! every once in a while. PC is definitely my favorite way to play games, but consoles can be great fun as well

Currently, I feel uncomfortable with a controller in my hands. It doesnt feel right, as if it doesnt fit.

Consoles?! This is blasphemy! I shall never desecrate the PC gaming gods by owning consoles. Glorious PC Gaming Master Race all the way, only and forever.

Uhh.. to answer your question, no I don't. Never owned a console, though I've played my share of console games since most of my friends own consoles.

First "console" i ever played was my brother's Amiga, then i bought myself a Sega Megadrive, and my latest console was the PS2. So i'm pretty much exclusively PC at the moment, though the PS3 has always been an interest of mine, but only for the exclusives, maybe someday.

I have both a 360 and PS3. Although I got the PS3 primarily to play blu-ray movies. It has already bricked once after only 6 months. I never play online with the 360; I don't have xbox gold. I don't believe in paying extra to play games online. But I haven't played too many games on either one. I typically only play the games that get best universal reviews; and are exclusive to consoles.

But the PC is still my number choice for games. It tears me up to see pc gaming declining as much as it has.

I have an Atari, Dreamcast (well 2 of these), and a PS3 here for my console gaming. I also have the Dingoo A320, GP2X F200, and GP2X WiZ for my handheld gaming. I mainly play on PC at the moment (thanks to Dragon Age) but I'll never limit my choices to 1 thing or another.

i have always played both. current console is a ps3. however, im finding myself playing my pc more and more and my ps3 less and less.

pc offers more variety better interfaces and less restrictions.

although consoles will always have place in my lounge room.

Play mainly on high end PC, but do own 360. Play 360 really just for sport games, music games aka World Tour , rock band stuff. Oh and games where no PC in the world could run them properly, such as Force Unleashed. 95% of my time is on PC, mainly now just use 360 for when I have guests. And the kids, they aren't allowed to touch my precious PC.
