Hmmm overall thoughts sofar.
Negatives: The UI is pretty close to abysmal, who ever thought that it would be a good idea to have a WHITE crosshair in a game where half takes place in snow? well its not THAT bad but takes some getting used to, and the way they colour dialogue and map locations makes it hard to see if its something you said before, or been before.
The only tecnical probs Ive had sofar seem to be all scripting stops working, only happened twice but is a bit annoying, atleast I think it is stripting (like the horse carts NOT transporting you when you pay gold).
The towns and settlements are pretty small
The SoSo:
Well, this is a bethesda game allright :P the combat is better then Oblivion (and in some cases Fallout3). Its not exactly top of the line, but it does what it sets out to do, atleast an improvement.Voice actorsare mixed, some of the Nords are pretty bad ^^ some are quite good too. But those Arnold sound alikes are a bit jarring^.
The Good: Okay,I never thought I would say this about a TES game, but sofarIve put somewhere aroud 14 hours into the game, started with the Dark Brotherhood questline (I know that was likely to shoot myself in the foot, since they tend to be the better questlines).but this is really GOODwriting and thought put into the dialogues, and offers some really good context to why andwhen you kill. Stealth is alot more fun too, not exactly as easy as in Oblivion, since youlikely will be found if you kill someone with others close by.
The music:I love music in games, when the music does well, it really hightens the game. Skyrimsure works with the music part.
A nice world: Somehow Skyrim comes off as more Alien then Morrowind ever were, altho the setting looks more familier, what goes on is alot moreunlike what you'd be used to, andit is amazing how the creatures We would be so used to, somehow seem so much more Terrorfying now (first time I saw a troll, it was anything butOblivions 3 eyed Apes, these reallylook and move freaky).
The radient quest thingie acturally seem to work (somewhat). okay small jobs everywhere ,yeah that is not the most exciting, but I somehow have this odd feeling that Ive got near33% (odd guess, its hard to say really sofar) random generated quests, but they seemhard to distinguish from quest threads sometimes. (I think random generated quests sometimes ties themselves tonormal quests?).Either that, or there are ALOT more quests thenmost other TES games, but It seems that there really are morequests, I can't step into any settlement without stumbling over some sort of quest, within the first 2-3 people. My quest log is pretty much filled to the brim.
It can be a bit overwhelming so now I fokus on one quest line, and uses it to get my bearings in the world.
