You could get a checking account at a bank and link it to a paypal account.

You can get a visa prepaid card from almost anywhere. You put money on it like you would a gift card, and buy things like you would with a credit card.

Go to the bank and get a debit card for your account? Or if you insist on buying with credit, you could try www.newegg.com and apply for their credit card (assuming you're over 18 of course).

Why can't you just go to the bank and get a debit card? You can use that just like a credit card...

The card itself costs like, 9 dollars, and I'm not sure if there are any additional costs.

Depending on your bank, you should be able to open a checking account with or without a parent signature. See about opening one of those up and getting a debit card. Other than that, look into the vista prepaid thingy. Good luck, hope you get your rig!

Back in 2005 I was able to open a student checkings account at Bank of America (I was 16 years old) but at the time you had to have 400 dollars to open the account. But things may have changed because of the bad economy

Why can't you just use your mom's credit card? If you give her the cash up front what's the problem? She must be either real mean or has a real low credit limit.

Probably something about flipping out at "random" 100$ charges, when she realizes later on after yelling at you that it's what you bought and paid for. Or she just doesn't want her credit card to get stolen. Identify Theft is huge nowadays. Or it's something else. Most likely one of those though.

your mom probably don't want to spend $1000 on something simply because you wanted it (unless your family is super rich and you're spoiled to no end). I know my parents would refuse to pay for any entertainment systems for me and would make me pay with my own money. Especially when I was 15

well for me i had to wait until i was 18, i went to TD bank and got my free student checking account, i had to go to the atm, get the amount of money i was going to use for the pc and put it in the checking account, i got a free debit card and like 3 checks and like 15 more later in the mail for free, there was no minimum balance or anything and it lasts until i'm 25. later that day i went online with my debit card and ordered the pc parts, i hope you have a job and your using your own money, i spent $800 and im getting $65 back in rebates

yeah interest rate on credit card are sick . if you put stuff like of 1500$ and you don't pay ur debt before a year the thing can up to 2500$ like magic :P it should be illegal to charge such % rate on credit card but guess making money of water is just too good for them :P

if you really want to get it all handeled tomorrow then youll need the money first of all, and youll have to find some place that has prepaid master cards or visa's or whatever like that, usually the max youll be able to find is like 100 dollars prepaid so youll need to get 10 or 11 of them just to cover taxes and such

you can pay with a money order just might take longer but it's the easiest. Also if your brother has a debit card you can pay him then he might be able to purchase it for you.

go to a bank (idk if this works with other banks) but it does with wells fargo, go to the bank and just ask for a credit card. they'll say no your not 18 then give you a sales pitch for what you really want, one of their prepaid kids cards. it's for letting kids buy groceries and stuff, but just set the max you can spend at once higher than the price of your computer and your all set. then go home, go into their online checking, add the grand total of the computer to your card, and buy it off newegg.

What? Are you sure that's a CREDIT card? I'm pretty sure it's not even legal to get one if you're not 18. Okay debit card yes, because that just uses your checking account.
