Jmnderson it normal to be that high temperature. at idle. it totaly normal !
what is unnormal is 85 Degree Celcius at full load then id reocmmdn to find a way to cool that stuff with Better CPu Cooler & Tower For great Airflow Examples antec nine hundred but I heard So far that Thermtalke armor MX+ offer better airflow and more space ;)
To think off i don't think in 3 year and half 40 degree celcius will become a common cpu for idle load
i saw a Expocition about pc. i don't remember exatly name of the tower and price
but by 3 year they thinking to make the Same Techonlogy you find in ur Fridge but magneticless. and offering possiblity to get your cpu 20 degree celicus cooler then best water-cooling kit which is apprently under Ambient room temperature
there for a condasator of humidty & A radiatior for Coolings
[QUOTE="Sentinel672002"][QUOTE="domke13"]Um, what did u expect? It's summer.domke13
In the northern hemisphere anyway. :P
I assume he's not from southern. Or am i wrong?
Haven't a clue. I was just stating the obvious again. :lol: You're right about the seasonal heat though. I had to clock my quad back to 2.8Ghz to keep it within tolerable thermals for the summer. Either that, or it needs a good cleaning. The 900 sucks the dust...
What is unnormal i heard off is a high overclock cpu beyond 50 degree celcius as i heard off
because it make it go unstable or someting. cause i know cpu are made to endure 90 degree celcius.
but they recommand any good user who want a longlife spawn for is cpu to not go higher then 50C
at full load but i haven't try so i can't know if it True we would have to ask the mythbuster ;) or someting lol j/kmarcthpro
umm 50 idle? Thats a GREAT temperaturre but not everyone can hit it, as long as you dont go into the 70's while doing something intense, like playing a game, your still in the safe zone, but once you go out of that 'safe zone' that is when you start to shorten the life-span.
That for my q6600 anyway, it idles at 47C and its overclocked, even tho this isnt really that bad, im looking into buying the Zalman 9500 or arctic cooler proo 7, just wondering if there is a nice jump in cooling bewtween the two.
I have a AMD Athlon dual core 2.0ghz 3800+ pc and the temps are around 50c just as long as I have 2 fans on it one for blowing onto the 2 hdds that I have and one to draw the heat out then the temps stay just fine. I have't really played any games that would put alot of strean on the vid card or make everything heat up yet.
I do plan on building my self a pc and I'm in the process of doing so and I plan to get that exact cpu. The E8400. I like it now even more cause it is cheap and the price continues to fall.
hmm xvid
