Can anyone give me some good PC hack 'n slash titles? I've played the crap out of the Diablo series, and I want something new. I was playing Sacred 2 earlier and now I'm thinking of picking that up. Any other ones you'd suggest?

Dungeon Siege II (& expansion)whyteknight222This Titan Quest might look very good for a H&S and it's physics make it interesting, but imo it's extremely boring and monotonous, I don't know why but I can't play it more than 1 or 2 hours before I get sick of it. Dungeon Siege 2 might not be perfect, but it's fun and it still has some players online, but TQ has more. If you don't mind graphics get Diablo 2, Sacred Gold (19$ on Steam) is extremely good too if it weren't for the graphics and physx system, it would have been better than Sacred 2 in all aspects, but it's still more fun that Sacred 2.
In the same kind of vein is Space Siege. It's not terribly exciting but you can pick it up for a fiver. I was a big fan of Titan Quest but definately get the gold edition. The Dream Mastery it opens up for you is (imo) the most interesting and entertaining set of abilities.andy_lyallYeah space siege is fairly ok but I don't know about Dungeon Siege, it's very cheaply done I can tell, like for instance Characters don't open their mouths when they speak they just shake their heads :D
Loki: Heroes of Mythology
Darkstone
Fate (PC)
I played Fate, but went back to Diablo because it's a Diablo clone, in my opinion.
I played Sacred, but went back to Diablo, because it felt like a Diablo clone.
I played Titan Quest, and that was pretty good.
I played Loki, but again, it felt like a Sacred clone, which never felt as fun as Diablo.
No experience with Darkstone but the Gamespot review seems positive (it's an older game) however the later user ratings seems harsh.
Overall, I would try Titan Quest first, Fate second and Loki third...AFTER clicking on the Gamespot links above.
Oh, and I never got into Dungeon Siege for some reason.

MorbidToaster
Severence: Blade of Darkness, one of the best and most underrated hack n slash games of all time
alien shooter: vengance the best thrill ride hack n slash game for those tired of diablo and NWN nock-offs. because really there all just following there shadow (meybe not icewind dale butim not here to debate semantics).
I was surprised at this as well...I had it in mind, but I figured it would be mentioned over and over. I'm checking out some of those suggestions now.Nobody has mentioned the Baldur's Gate series. There. It's been mentioned.

DOWNLOADING: Severence demo, Gothic 3 demo, Dungeon Siege 2 demo, Sacred demo, and Titan Quest demo.
dungeon runner also comes with high recommends its not the best visually (for a 2003 title) but its only 9.00 in stores for the full game and free for a restricted use copy (lower level and item caps, cant use certain skills, etc.)
Titan Quest + Immortal Throne is the best hack & slash that's not Diablo. Also, if you want a game like Diablo avoid The Witcher at all costs. It's not really a hack & slash at all...it's a RPG and that's where it shines...but as a H&S it sucks.dnuggs40I totally agree. Titan Quest is the best Diablo style game I've played since Diablo 2. The main thing I loved was how you built your character as it gave you so much freedom to customise it, picking 2 skill trees from 9 giving you a great range of combinations to play how you want to. The Witcher is a great RPG, but I wouldn't consider it hack and slash. The combat is closer to Elder Scrolls than Diablo.
[QUOTE="tratyu92"]Devil May Cry 4?tjoeb123This. It's also a very good-looking game. I've already played and beaten DMC 4 lol. It's great. But I suppose I should be more specific, Hack 'n Slash RPGs.
Lego Batman.....the other lego games are good too.TheBigBadGRIMAhaha. They are actually. I think Star Wars is my favorite one, but I was surprised at how great these all were. Even if it was just copy/paste games.
I honestly think you should take a look at the older console games like Champions of Norrath for the PS2 or something.. Hack and slashers havn't been that good imo as of late and everyone has tried has made me go back to Diablo 2.. The console ones may give a change of pace especially with split screen fun.. Though this is of course if you have a current or last gen console laying around.sSubZerOoBeaten pretty much every decent console hack 'n slash out there. Sadly.
