So I'm buying an HDTV today, need some help.

Doesn't Sony make Vizio though?

If you haven't gone to www.avsforum.com I really recommend it. Most lines of HDTV's have a posting started and owners discuss it. YOu can also go under the LCDTV discussion and ask for opinions. There are a lot of very smart people who know HDTV's on that board.
