So im done building. What order do i install drivers?

Alright, so i finished building my comp a few days ago, and i have been wait for vista to get here. It is going to be here tomorrow morning, and im wonder what order i do all the stuff in. Do i just install vista then the mobo + vid card drivers and thats it? Any help you guys could give me on this would be awesome.

I don't think it matters what order you do them in. But i did xp,mobo,video card. in that order.

Yeah get your motherboard drivers, video, audio, run Windows Update for sure. There isn't a specific order but I would do the motherboard first.

Vista, then mobo so you can get to the internet, then just get the latest graphics driver.

install windows, them mob, vid card, sound card then any others

Install Vista. Then install the things you want on your motherboard's driver and software CD (if you like what they offer). Then install your video card driver.

Usually the motherboard's driver CD has all of the necessary hardware drivers you need. If you added another device that's not covered by the motherboard's driver CD or the video card's driver, then install that driver, too. :)

Well as said before t he order doesnt really matter but this is what I would do:

First the os, seems logic.

Then just install drivers the same order as you installed the hardware in your case, so: Mobo, cp, gpu , and so on.

I used to re-start between each one, now i just install all of them at once, chipset+audio+graphics+lan+ide etc. Get the latest from the manufacturers website.
