Or is it in progress?

My intention here is NOT to create controversy or anything, I just want to know if we will get a review or not.

I never paid too much attention to this talk that Gamespot doesn't care much for the PC, but... if they really don't plan on writing a PC review in this case (and therefore unexplainably getting behind the competition), I will start to agree with you who affirm that... :|

It is probably on the way. Developers usually tend to send the console versions first to review for the sites.

I think GS is waiting for a patch in order to write a fair review. Most people are having problems with Bioshock 2, since 2k pratically released the game in beta state. :D

Yep, I find it pretty ridiculous that it has exactly the same technical problems as the first one plus even more it seems. Things like widescreen which was even fixed on the first bioshock is now broken again. Not to mention the implementation of GFWL which have made it even worse.

Here's a PC review: it's a much better shooter, it's a bit better balanced, the level design is great and all the characters are a lot more insane than before.

And the best thing is that it doesn't force morality upon you. The first game had the subtility of a brick in the face regarding choices and consequences, now it's better - mostly because it's not a clear black or white decision anymore.

My friend says it crashes very often, and the control scheme resets every time you exit the game, and just a lot of bugs. I have no interest in the Bioshock series so I can't say.

And I say it feels better than the first game as a PC game. Haven't encountered a single bug and the control scheme does not reset every time you exit the game.

They should have copied and pasted the 360 review at least, like they do with other multiplatform games and it'll get an 8.5 as well.

Your friend needs to fix his computer or stop playing pirated games then because Ive played for 8 hours and not one crash or any bugs. The only thing that is wrong is the silly widescreen thing (which they are fixing).

Same for me, the controls stay the same for me and I havnt had one crash or bug yet.

The only thing that bothers me is the WIDESCREEN issue and they are already working on that.

I must second the ones saying "no bugs so far". So I'm really wondering what are these "big issues", for I have encountered none. Honestly. ;)

Well, so far I kinda agree with you; except for the "better shooter" part, it's too soon to say. but I'm liking what I'm seeing here. A lot! 8)

I'm torn between the two when it comes to atmosphere though; the first one definitely has left a mark on me.

And my bet is that this one will too.

This, just ran through the whole game and only encountered a single bug, an enemy stuck in a hard to get to spawn when I needed to clear a room to advance, luckily it was nothing a few well aimed explosives couldn't handle.

I had more bugs and crashes in ME2 than I did in this game. It ran flawlessly on my PC.

I have the retail version. I had issues with mouse control and the widescreen issue. Also, i am dissappointed about the lack of 360 controller support...the first game supported the controller, why not this one. I wish i had bought the console version to tell you the truth.

This game has online and controlers vs mouse and keybaord woudlnt be fair is what ive heard.

Having played the pc and 360 versions I dont see why you would want the xbox version unless you really want to play with a controller or play the online against your xboxlive friends. Cuz the pc version has much much much better graphics.

I am mainly interested in the single player part of the game. I just wanted to chill with the controller...and seeing how i am having "issues" with the mouse control, it would have been nice to have a alternate control method while i wait for a patch.

It doesn't "force morality on you"?

'

What's that supposed to mean?

'

Also - developers have admitted there are bugs - especially the widescreen - what's with all the denial?

No crashes or control resets for me either. From what I've heard those bugs are happening with the "copied illegal versions". Well guess what, you pirate, then don't complain. And don't even voice your opinion about the game, because your not worth a pinch of salt.
I laugh at people that say this game and that crash, and then find out they are running pirated versions of the game.
Not intended for some above post, I know it's someone you know, and not yourself.

Oh, I have to second that...

People who do that urgently need some serious self-criticism... and I'm not referring to anyone in particular.

Fair enough, it's usually a copy and paste review. With added slightly better visual and/or smoother gameplay. No idea what resolution they review these games at, probably only @ 1280x960 (720p). The thing is i can crank up my rez to 2560x1600 which makes an enormous difference. Still i don't understand the delay for the review as most of the time they just do a copy and paste review, staff shortages maybe?
