So you own it and you're complaining? Oh wait, you don't own it? So your opinion is worthless? ;) But yeah, I wouldn't get a Vid Card that isn't an 8800 series card if the money isn't too big an issue, but that's just me. Unless you're patient and can wait for forever and a day for DIAMAT's offering.Staryoshi87Money is an issue, but I'm patient and can wait a while.

[QUOTE="9mmSpliff"]You and thousands others are dissapointed. Save the extra scrilla for a 8800gts....the PNY 8800gts 320mb is $240 right now. Its in another thread just like this one. el_carlThanks. Can someone tell me if that psu I posted is reliable?
Okay i got it. I dont know why it ook me to a TT page for newegg.com. After reading some on it and some reviews. It seem slike a 7/10 PSU. The TT is good, but its not overly exciting. The Toughpower series is there best series.Â
This is the PSU you want in your price range. FSP is a great PSU company and in that range there, I would trust them first.Â

[QUOTE="frost_mourne13"]I was just reading the Guru3.com review, and is it just me, or does the GTS kinda suck compared to the x1950pro, and the 7900GS which it is supposed to replace...9mmSpliff
The 8800gts is around the power of a 7800gt it looks like.

[QUOTE="Staryoshi87"]I'm starting to wish I would have saved 400 or so bucks on my system by going a bit more midrange...It stinks to be medium-high end =Pel_carlIt sucks to be 14 with a $20 amonth income :(
Add 6 to your age and about 480 bucks to that income and you've got the part-time working college student you're talking to now ;)
[QUOTE="frost_mourne13"]Well, for $200 it looks good, but for $250, the 8800GTS 320MB looks better!el_carlMy thoughts exactly. Now, I'm only 14, so moneys hard to get. My dads a computer sorta guy too, so maybe he'll be willing to help.

Age doesn't mean anything, find a way to make money..I did.Â
just hoer your self out to a thousand fat chicks.TrailorParkBoyfor 50 bucks each
or 50 REALLY fat ones for 1000 each. FG ftw. (I hope you intentionally mispelled that word btw...)
for me the 8600 gt is pretty much where i expected, somewhat around 7900gs performance but much lower power consumption. its pretty much the only upgrade i can get from my 6800 since i'm using the stock 305w dell psu. nohnaimerAtleast I know I'm not the only one.
It serves you guys right for hyping the 8600 cards endlessly without really knowing anything about them. What were you really expecting from 128-bit cards anyway? It looks like they aren't signifcantly better than the X1950Pro and 7900GS they are designed to replace, other than that they support DX10, and are actually worse in games that stress memory bandwidth. I'll reserve judgement on the R600 for when it's out, but something being this heavily delayed is usually a bad sign.
On another note, I'm glad I bought my 8800GTS back in early February. It's looking more and more like my impatience paid off.
Indeed, age means nothing, you can find ways to earn $100 in 2 months, no, a month if you try hard.
A 8600GT can probably OC to GTS speeds for a budget card, so give that a shot imo. I'm waiting until DX10 games actually come out though to save plenty of green and face.
Regarding cmdrmonkey....hyping the 8600? What the fsck do you call all the hype here about the radeon cards? -_- I don't think there has been much hype since the rumor of an 8600 Ultra was dispelled, just a lot of questions.Staryoshi87
he's right, it was over hyped for no apparent reason. people thought it would outperform the likes of 7900 series. Serves them right!Â
