Curious for opinions?

Mobo = ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68

CPU = i5 2500k (thx to some of u folks for the advice on getting this)

SSD = Crucial 64gb Sata III 500mb/s

Im recycling my Enermax PSU, as well as my Coolermaster - Storm Case.

Oh, and reusing my Twin MSI Hawk 5770's that I'll be running in CXF.

Again, just wondering what some of you all think of these components.

Well if your reusing those 5770's and not spending money on them its not a bad setup.

Looks good, only thing I'd suggest if it wasn't expensive would be one of the new Vertex 4 SSDs.

Oh yeah, wow Man those Vertex's are incredibly expensive. I'd buy 2 Crucial SSD's before Id get a Vertex. I mean theyre awesome and all - I just dont see the value.

Price:Performance is looked past a lot, especially for new items.

Good Point. Not many Average folks would pay $100 for a gig of Ram like I did when DDR3 launched. :)

It will be a nice build :) I believe you absolutely made the best choice on going with that CPU, it's really really great. Next upgrade would be a new GPU, though those 5770's on CXF should patch you up for quite a while. As for the rest, 'tis good :D

Exactly, 64GB is only enough for OS and a few programs with maybe 1 game.

good motherboard, i had it for a bit but decided to return it for a bigger one, didn't think micro would be good for two 580s. obviously good cpu. i would have gotten a bigger ssd, i my 120gb ssd has less than 40gb on it now and i don't put hardly anything on it.
