yea
Â
but there are two viiv processor's(proc. that support the intel viiv crap)
Â
the dual core 2, and the pentium d(sux compared to dual core 2
so intel V//V its duo core procesor? the latest procesor and more powerfull?PabbssPS3intel V//V is to entertainment and media center desktops as Centrino is to notebooks.
Basically, it is just a marketing term for a predefined platform specification that's meant to make for a smooth, stable media center/home theater computer.
Part of the specification calls for a minimum of a dual-core processor, but in intel's case, that can still account for as little as a Pentium D, or even an HT-enabled Pentium4 processor. So on that alone, you can't just look at the "VIIV" part and epxect it to be a Core 2 Duo.Â
are the ymore powrfull tahn AMD LIVE?PabbssPS3The processors might be, but that doesn't mean that the X2's and A64's are suddenly all that worse. The one thing that is to AMD Live's advantage is that - now that they are merged with ATi - they can give a better onboard graphics solution than the intel GMA garbage. And if Centrino is any indication, a lot of those "Intel VIIV" computers are probably sporting intel GMA video, which is going to be much, much worse for gaming than anything on the AMD/ATi side.
