I recently built a high-end computer. I can max out crysis at 1680x1050 and still run at 30+ FPS.

But, I'm tired of that. I'm tired of shooters. I have over 300 hours already on TF2, finished every half life game, bioshock. I want to play something different.

Don't want a war RTS, it's the same ol' same ol'. I want to enjoy my sexy computer. What do you recommend?

Oh and no MMO's, 3,000 hours of Guild Wars and even more WoW is enough for a lifetime.

Looks like you're sick of every game? :P I mean you don't want RTS,FPS or RPG, you could go for adventure games although I don't think they'll test your computer much. If you want to play adventure games anyway you could try the following:

Monkey Island Series

Grim Fandango

The Longest Journey

Syberia1&2

Oblivion maybe?RPG/adventure,

Also morrowind if you dont mind in the graphics.

I also recomened Comdemned: criminal orgins, though its a shooter, theres not much shooting, its a horror/survival game, u can use pipes, axes, boards, hammers, guns as ur weapons.

Unfortunately, most of the recent games that require a high end PC are going to be FPS or RTS war games. But if you don't mind some slightly older titles that you should be able to max out, and want a change of pace or style, try the Thief series or the Splinter Cell series.

You could also try Rune or Severance: Blade of Darkness for third person hack'n'slash action.

For RPGs you could try Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines, Arx Fatalis, Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, the Gothic series.

If you're looking for a different style of RTS, try Sacrifice.

Try Gothic 3. It's pretty cheap and it's an enjoyable experience. It's not the best looking game but it definitely will squeeze all the juice out of your computer.

Great suggestions all of you. Thank you

I'm going to take all of those into consideration. Possibly the witcher, gothic 3 and the longest journey will be on top of my list.

I didn't like The Witcher. Gothic 3 was much more enjoyable.

Find yourself a copy of FFVII for PC on ebay, and play one of the best games ever made. Graphics are old and outdated but it's simply one of the best games ever.

Skip STALKER...you'll need a fly swatter to kill all the bugs.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE...was a great surprise game for me. Someone in EB suggested it to me, and I laughed. I'm not into super hero's and that nonsense. He finally convinced me to buy it...great fun, great story, and it brought back memories of watching cartoons as a kid.

Oh...skip X3:Reunion unless you like spending your time trading for a month until you get so Board you start watching movies just to pass the time while playing the game. It's kinda like participating in the special olympics, doesn't matter if you win or not...you're still retarded!

You should download the Penumbra: Black Plague demo. It's a first-person game but it's not a shooter as there are no projectile weapons, and I don't even think it has melee weapons either.

What it is is a first-person action adventure horror and when confronted by an enemy you use stealth, evasion and use of the physics engine for launching items at them.

This game was released this year and the graphics are great. The graphics are not Crysis quality, but they are definitely great and add alot to the horror experience. You should download the demo and turn everything on high with motion blur on as well and I think you'll like what you see. And with the res cranked up to 1600 odd it will look even better (not that you didn't know already).

i can tell you right now most likely this guy hasnt played stalker. And if so it probably wasnt really him playing with a good machine which is why he claims theres bugs. What did you run it on? And what bugs did you encounter I didnt see any playing on all versions of the game including the original 1.000

Hey guys!

Thank you all for giving me great suggestions!

Some of them, I've played; like FF7 when it came out on the PS and finished it more than 4 times with all Ultima weapons back in middle school . Counter Strike: Source was the cause of a couple class dropouts in college.

I've been playing audiosurf for a while and it's great for good random songs. I'm going to download the Penumbra demo this weekend just to exploit the graphics. I was researching gothic 3 and while it seems like a great game, I'm going to go for the new version of the witcher coming out in May.

I'm giving serious thoughts to Sins of the Solar Empire and Dreamfall the longest journey. Also I don't want a shooter but you guys are close to convince me of STALKER.

Again, thx all of you for taking time to give me suggestions.

I can't even play my copy of stalker anymore without it stuttering excessively or crashing, or just getting some glitch. It may not have happened to you, but stalker is a very buggy game. It's not my system either as I keep it well maintained.

I didn't encounter one bug, I really liked the game although I haven't gone back to it, but I don't go back to a lot of games, so you can really use that for comparison. You might like The Witcher, I bought it, its ok, but other games have taken up my time. Have you played COD 4? SP and MP are great, although you said you want something different.

I have not encountered any bugs, so I recommend that you try STALKER. Many people say that it is a very hardware intensive game, but I can run it maxed out with a 7600gt and 1.5gb of ram.

Is spellforce 2 good? I played the first one and it was a very average game.

Also, Sam n Max is a great way to tide you over till new games come out (like e.g. Assassin's Creed), if you're at all familiar with Sam n Max, the games are great.
