all the parts that you buy now that are sitting their waiting will drop in price and equal the price drop that you are waiting for on the cpu.  so just buy now and avoid the irony. lol

lol, yeah but the only parts I'm purchasing right now are ones that I can find pretty good deals on and I can't really count on them being that price later on.

I am most definetly waiting for the price drop in July 22. I just recently built my rig and decided to go with a Celeron D 347 o'c @4.2ghz until i get get my hands on a dual or possibly quad core  :)

I'm awaiting till the end of the year when CPU prices drop (wanting a quad core processor) and dx10 cards are cheaper

The whole waiting game is so...annoying. Unless you're literally a couple of weeks away from a launch, I wouldnt hesitate to buy top of the line current stuff. If you're planning ahead, then yeah thats fine, but if you want something NOW and have the money, waiting is just annoying -it'll be out of date soon enough no matter what you buy.

What about the AMD Opteron price cut too?  Anyways AMD64 X2 6000+ line over here :D.  If I was to go for a CPU out of the Intel lineup for the cutting of price, it would be the QX6700.  If the guy who bought my PC could wait till July, I would have bought my friends for $500cdn.  :(
