custom pc maker Xi3 has made an UBER small pc for those wanting the smallest desktop possible. its size.. compareable to a can of beer or what have you.

dubbed the "modular computer" it sits at barely 6 inches tlal and sports an athalon 64 x2 1ghz - 2.2ghz cpu (am2+), 2gb ram, and an hd 3200 or 4200 onboard video.

ports on this machine include dvi-, 6 usb 2.0's 2 e-sata, 1 gigabit ethernet, 1 sata external and 1 hdmi 2.1 as well as 2.1 channel audio

estimated retail value is at 1000 USD but for the smallest pc on the planet why wouldnt you get it?

did i mention she comes in 5 colors?

That's insane... I don't think it'll sell too well though. $1k for something that small that won't do all that much? Nah. :P

Some people don't know when they are going too far. I hope they don't plan on going into mass production with that thing, I think people have gotten past the smaller is better phase.

idk it matches many laptops that cost 450-550 nicely which would be much larger than it. and currently the smallest desktop you can get is about the size of a toaster ish...

i can see this one actually going places.

Pretty sure I've read an article on Dailytech a while back about one that was even smaller, but it was ARM not X86 compatible so maybe that doesn't count.

Build one yourself with a mini-ITX case, but I don't think AM3 boards come in mini-ITX, Intel's H55 does - Gigabyte's H55-USB3 is 17cm x 17cm.

well your welcome to try but you would void the warranty and need to basically build half a mobo :p
