So....ASSASSIN'S CREED 2 PC version is now delayed to 2010

Surprise?

"Assassin's Creed 2 PC has moved to the first quarter of 2010," Ubisoft revealed via Twitter. "A bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you."

I guess Ubi didn't learn from their mistakes the first time...

zzz Ubisodt sucks in game development. Anyhow we can save money by taking a peak on how repettive the game is from the console versions.

Would it be better for them to build the game as a Pc port first and adapt for the console after? Could it shorten the time producing for pc and not make the console release too far either?

DX11 pls.

No way is Assassin's Creed 2 looking mundane - everything that I've seen and read about this game suggests that Ubisoft learned from its mistakes with the first game. This second game promises to be everything that the first game wasn't.

I'm disappointed that the PC version has been delayed. That said, if the developer needs more time, then they need more time. Do whatever is necessary to make the game great - and if that does include DX11 support, then I certainly wouldn't mind waiting a little while longer.

This game was high on my list, and it still remains high.

Yosandeep410, every1 agrees with you. Any1 who thinks AC1 was awesome sucks.

On a more serious note I must get me a PS3 now because I can't wait 3 more months for this and since my computer won't run this on high anyhow I really don't care about the supa awesome graphics they will promise us when the console versions are released.

once again the pc version of a hyped multiplat is delayed. guess we should just assume we will get every multiplat late then when one gets released simultaneously it'll be a nice suprise.

Ubisoft is by far one of the worst PC developers. Even when the first Assassins Creed delayed for extra development time for the PC, the performance was still very rough; Assassins Creed 2 is shaping up to be no different.

The leak was bugged, like Batman's leak. Or like all the Stalker and Clear Sky leaks.

I personally think ubisoft's upcoming lineup is pretty good --- Silent Hunter V, Settlers 7, HoMM VI, but then again I don't really have much interest in their console games which I find prettycrappy

Dragon Age and Modern Warfare 2 will be released in November. This may cause Ubisoft to move the release of Assassins Creed 2 to a later date to increase the likelihood of higher sales.Jd1680a

i was thinking why they announced it to be same release day as consoles in the first place when i first read it i already knew it would be delayed. another better product bs excuse. wtf did the 1st pc assassins creed have over consoles? 6 MONTH delay and 3x system requirements, nice ubi nice. no grapples plz

What to believe?

I wish it come out this year.

If you think about it, the PC version will sell badly if it is released with MW2. It'll most likely be pirated if someone can only afford one game, plus the fact most PC gamers are waiting for MW2. I doubt it was shifted for "perfecting" but I do hope they make it something worthy of the wait like AC:Director Cut. The few extra modes were worth it.

Bad move from Ubisoft. PC Gamers would probably buy Modern Warfare 2 and Dragon Age in November, but delaying to Q1 2010 is much worse, there're even more great titles that people wouild prefer over Assassin's Creed 2.
