SOF: Payback

WTF is this sorry @ss game claiming to be SOF. This is BS. Activision why oh why did you have to go and ruin this franchise. SP is generic and sucks. MP, SOF2 still ranks as one of the best MP FPS's ever!!!!, sucks.

The franchise is good. The latest doesn't leave up to the standards.

So I guess no one saw the word "value" tacked on to activision...as in "Activision Value"

This is a budget title, made in the same spirit as countless paintball shooters and horrible 18-wheeler simulations, and sitcom spinoffs such as Orange County Chopper.

They made this game with a minimum of effort knowing the name would sell enough copies to make them money.

Sad but true. When I was installing it, I saw "value" and thought "oh crap" and then when I played for a bit, I thought "oh crap". True story.

I think the fact that Activision Value produced the title (and not Activision) suggests you're right.

Yah, if Activision had produced it, I believe it would live up to what it was meant to be.

The fact that Activision handed it over to the undergrads, the guys who barely work to shove out another $20 for Puppy Vet 3 and Waterpark Tycoon 7, just pisses me off. They took a perfectly good franchise, and decided to screw over the playerbase for the pure reason of... wait, What reason? By making a crappy game, they'll loose a lot of potential profit that way. Maybe they were trying to make a good, cheap game from a great series, but they failed... pretty badly.
