im trying to decide which hard dive to get for my laptop. i want to have a fast hdd and right now i only have a 250gb 5400rpm and its fine. it doesnt really matter about the storage i can always transfer it off the drive but it would be a pain to do, so basically is it worth it to go ssd right now or wait? these were the 2 i was looking at:

320GB 7200RPM

64GB SSD

thanks for the help.

I would say the Hitachi Travelstar. Solid State Drives have limited read and write cycles, meaning that if you move around files a lot or if you add/remove files on a constant basis it's lifetime is a lot shorter than a Hard Disk Drive.

i was looking at that and it says it has 1.5 million read/write hours which is decent but im just wondering if it is really that much more noticable over a 7200RPM hdd

alright thanks for the input. i was just hoping that the speed and power savings would make up for the smaler space.
