I played most wanted and the tomb raider games perfectly with kb and mouse. So there is no need for a controller.

Thats rediculous, I dont believe you. Those games are meant for controllers and would be a pain in the ass with k&m.

tomb raider is just like pop, and pop isnt that hard at all to play with kb/m. Racing games arent all that comlicated either...

Well i tried tomb radier with a controller at a friend and it was much better and easier with a kb and mouse. And i had zero problems playing most wanted with kb and mouse. So you can see, it was not a pain in the ass unless you are handicapped.

Metal Gear series

Racing games

Anyway, I prefer mouse & keyboard for most games ( even for Tomb Raider and POP ) except the ones I've said above

I actually believe that Overlord is better with a keyboard. All 360 reviews I've read, have complained about the controls, but none of the PC reviews have complained about them.

I setup my controller the same way as the 360 and didnt have any problem with the controls. i tried using the keyboard and found it really awkward playing.

Most sports games.

Seeing as my old Joystick is deaded (RIP Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro), I use my 360 controller for space sim games at the moment, and the results are quite decent. Having two mini joysticks is better than using a mouse (for me anyway)

Oh, and be sure to grab xpadder so that you can assign additional keystrokes/shortcuts to your gamepad for games that don't support gamepads at all.

Good call. Assassin's Creed looks like a gamepad type of game. Any third person melee/platforming type of game will mostl likely benefit from a gamepad. But FPS are always best with a kb/m

Definitely the good racing games on the PC. I'm playing Trackmania Nations right now and keyboard isn't too great on some of those sharp turns.

The games the benefit most from a gamepad are obviously console ports. Then, you have your platformers and fighting games, where a gamepad would be particularly ideal to use. They're also alright to use with racing and flight/space games, but in that case I'd rather just get a high-end wheel or HOTAS instead. (Just like how people will invest in a better KB+M for improved FPS/RTS control, you don't want to limit yourself to a gamepad when a wheel or flight stick would offer much more control for those types of games.)
