Hello Im looking for some info..currently I plan on building my first gaming desktop. So far I picked out these parts and was wondering if I could get some thoughts on it. My budget is $500. Any recommendations and advice would be good thanks.

The gfx card is a big no, might as well use the IGP instead, the memory is incompatible, and the case is overpriced. Here's what I'm thinking:

G860 - 0.1GHz less for 20% less money

G.Skill 2x2GB DDR3 - $10 less and it will fit :P

Corsair CX-500 - $42 after rebate

Sapphire HD 7770 - $127 after rebate

All that + the motherboard you chose (which is fine IMO) equals $369 if my math is right, you can choose the case and everything else you need for the rest of your budget.

If you can't fit that in your budget you can consider a HD 6770 or a HD 6670. They can still do the job @720p.

g530 for $50 i can personally vouch for it, starcraft 2 runs like butter, and starcraft 2 is probably one of the most cpu demanding games out there. After that any cheap motherboard preferably gigabyte, asus, or other high quality vendors (avoid asrock). For video card get the radeon 6870 for $160, the rest should be easy.
