Hello Everyone-

It has been a long time since I have built a computer because I haven't had the money to upgrade my last one and I built the last one at the worst possible time. Right before the advent of PCI-E and well I just haven't had the money to boost up to the next level until now.

These are my proposed specs for my new comp, anything that I don't list I am salvaging off of my old build.

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

ENERMAX Liberty ELT500AWT ATX12V 500W Power Supply - Retail

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80562Q6600 - Retail

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AA804 - Retail

Does this look like a good set up? I don't know if I should wait for any new technology coming out so if I should let me know.

You might want to take a look at the PSU again. It looks like it doesn't have the right ammount of conectors or the right kind of connectors for thte CPU to get power. Everything else looks good though.

Very nice build there, but what's the graphics card? And switch the PSU to Corsair HX520W one?

Oops, I forgot to add in my graphics card. Well I plan on getting an 8800 gts probably the 312 version as I can't really put out the extra 75 dollars so, unless someone can give me a good reason to do so.

I will have to look at the psu again.
