Some RPG suggestions

Well I'm in the mood for an RPG. I might just wait for Dragon Age to get anything but I was looking to see what you guys might recommend.

Typically, I like open world free roaming RPG's (or at least not completely linear) with a bit of action to the gameplay.

I liked The Witcher. Hated Oblivion. Love action RPG's like Diablo and Titan Quest.

Right now I'm considering picking up Risen, but I'm undecided. I enjoyed the demo. Other than that, I'm looking forward to Dragon Age and Torchlight.

Any other RPG's I should check out?

Mass Effect, Neverwinter Night 2, The Last Remnant, Two Worlds and Fallout 3.

So what didn't you like about Oblivion? I've been playing Risen for a little while, and I love the game. The setting and everything really sucks you in. But it'll have some similarities to other open-world action RPG's, which is why I am reluctant to recommend it. But if you enjoyed the demo, you'd probably like the full game as well.

Check out Gothic 3, Mass effect, fable 2, fallout 3 ;)

A game called torchlight by ex Blizzard North who made diablo have a rpg coming out this month tha plays like diablo pretty much

I can confirm that most bugs are gone in Gothic 3, but I am not sure that youll like it... it is kinda "tame" in the world aspect, a bit like Oblivion, and often there are huge stretches without action

(which I respect, but is not exactly what you asked for)

Gothic is not a bad game, infact I kinda think it has some very interresting role playing steps towards PnP.
