So I got a windows 7 update, and now my sound card (creative soundblaster audigy) seems to not work properly anymore. I went trough alot of trouble to find proper installation files to make it function with windows 7 and it worked perfectly! Now this recent windows 7 update completely screwed it up. More changes happend though, seems like I can't change the window theme anymore. Its now light blue by default. Almost seems like I'm in safe mode O_o

Who knows what else this update has changed.

I really am not in the mood for technical issues, and I'm confused where to start now. Anyone know what might have gone wrong?

Now I'm not sure anymore if it was the update or not.

This is what happend:

Everything functions properly this morning, and there was a small windows 7 update. I restarted my pc and everything seemed ok. After a while I turned my PC off because I had to go. I come back turn on my pc, and on startup I see a crazy black screen with stuff written on it about some sort of HDD control/checkup, I'm not sure exactly what it did, so I just clicked a button to cancel. After seeing the windows changes, I restarted and did the HDD control/checkup whatever it is.

Problem still here.

Soundcard drivers installed according to control panel, so is my graphics card I think. The default light blue windows 7 theme still not changed. Am I in safe mode? If so how the hell do I get out of it O_o

Hahahahah...thats epic right there :)

If you want some help you need to be more specific about ur PC/GPU symptoms...

P.S. GS forum is not the best place for you,if you looking for that kind of help...go check tomshardware site or nvidia site(if you have a nv card)

Damn I'm so happy I could get this fixed so soon. Thanks to the windows 7 backup feature. Even though I have automatic backup disabled the feature still supports basic backup like removing updates moving the computer to a previous state.

Only thing now is, internet download manager seems to be removed. Oh Bill Gates, you're a mysterious one. oh wait, **** hes retired :P
