Something weird with new NVIDIA Drivers...

So I installed the latest NVIDIA Drivers (260.99) to get the best performance out of Black Ops.

I nomally have CUSTOM Desktop Color Settings (cause my monitor is so bright, I turn down the Contrast and Brightness)

Now every time I restart they go back to default.

Now here is the WEIRD part:

I go into NVIDIA Control Panel, and the settings are correct custom as I left them... I just need to touch one for it to take effect on the monitor.

Ideas?

The driver installer does that for you, if you so choose...nVidia has one programmed in.

TC, I would suggest falling back one version, to 260.89.

I do not even like their new drivers. I have had problems with at least the last 3 versions so I Have rolled back a few versions. Games still run fine so I don't worry about it.

Have you considered using the Driver Sweeper? I used this program before to clean up and left over files that may have not been deleted whenever I rolled back video card drivers.

I do not even like their new drivers. I have had problems with at least the last 3 versions so I Have rolled back a few versions. Games still run fine so I don't worry about it.

Here is a thought, why don't you uninstall the drivers or software for your monitor, and reinstall it, and see if that helps.

Even so, uninstall the plug in play driver, then unplug the monitor and plug it back in and see if it helps, hey it won't hurt.

Sorry thats not what I mean, I mean just unplug the monitor from the computer and then start the computer, (may have to use a separate monitor for this). Then plug in the monitor you want to use, and see if it gets a fresh plug in play setup.

I am actually on the 257.21 drivers. I think this is the last driver that did not include the nVidia uninstall option. they seem to be working ok for me and I also have the 8800 Gt's SLI.
