Well, I've been looking into getting myself a nicer TV lately, and I've been just going to places like Walmart or Best Buy and comparing picture quality. I've noticed that Bravias look the best (from what I've seen). I'm looking to get nothing bigger than a 42" (due to size constraints). does anyone else own/have an opinion on Bravias?

Customer reviews seem pretty good (4-5 stars most of the time), but most are written from 2-7 Weeks of getting the product, can anyone link me (or write your own) LONG TIME review of a Bravia? Please and thank you.

I've had a Bravia XBR1 32" (720p) for a little over 2 years now, and I have basially no complaints about it.  When I bought it, it seemed to have no consistently-mentioned downsides besides price, and my experience has confirmed that.

I'm not a TV afficionado, but if I were to rate my Bravia, I'd give it a maximum rating, as it has performed wonderfully for everything that I wanted to use it for, which is primarily game consoles (HD and non-HD), movies, and use as a computer monitor.

The next time I buy new TV, I'll strongly consider getting another Bravia.

Bravias have some of the highest level of display quality right now. It should be a solid purchase if you want to spend the money.

I own a 42" XBR1 (720p) and a 40" XBR5 (1080p) and both have worked beautifuly since they were purchased. I highly reccomend sony when it comes to LCD, but as you probably know samsung is also outstanding.

I ask the people who own the electrical stores who is top of the market for reliability, they say sony has gone downhill with their reliability for the Bravia Series. Most people say Panasonic and Pioneer are top. I have a panasonic 36'' CRT i purchased in 1995, it still works perfectly fine, best TV ever.

Panasonic and Pioneer are indeed at the top. I prefer my Samsung however. The Bravias are great, too. I just don't like how they look aesthetically.

That's because they crank up the brightness on those TVs at the store, also it won't look the same once you take it home.

I have the KDL40V4100 and couldn't be happier with it (I paid $1250 canadian a few months back).  1080p 24fps film mode is great.  Blu ray disks look phenomenal.  The four hdmi inputs are really useful and importantly (and something people dont' seem to care about here but should) is that the sound from the TV is relatively good in its own right.  Compared with panasonic and samsung TVs in the same price bracket the image quality is typical but in terms of audio there is no comparison.

I have no complaints and I'm constantly impressed with the image quality.Â
