I have a problem with the sound while playing PC games on Vista 64 bit. I had the same problem on 32bit and the same problem with or with out my sound card. This problem is mostly happening in online play.

When I play some of my games like Gears of War or Crysis I get this weird sound effect. When I play Crysis online and there are 16 people in the server everything is fine. When I play with 32 people I can't hear all the sounds for some reason. At the time there are explosions going on somewhere, I can not hear my gun reload, footstaps, and other small sounds that I normally hear. Also, in Gears of War if there is a train going I can't hear the sound of it sometimes and sometimes I can't hear my gun! This is not normal....

If this is normal please let me know. Thank you. I am sorry for my spelling mistakes.

Nope that is not normal. I have only had issues like that with the STALKER games and that is just because the games have bugs. I'd recommend uninstalling the sound drivers and then reinstalling them after cleaning the old driver out of your OS. I'd suggest asking over here in the PC Hardware Discussion forums, you may get better help there.

Hi,

You might want to check your sound settings in-game. What I think could be the problem is the amount of sound channels that can be played at the same time. If you have a cheapo sound card, the maximum of sound effects being played at the same time can be limited. But try the usual routine (update driver, uninstall and re-install sound card with newest drivers, check the sound card control panel for special settings...)

Hope you get that fixed :)

Cheers.
