I have a CreativeSound blaster x-fi xtreme gamer sound card with my newpc. Im useing icemat siberia headset. My new computer's os is windows vista home premeium 32.My headset was working well on my old machine that waswindows XP. But for some reason the right side doesnt seem to be as loud as the left. And in games like counterstrike 1.6 the sound from the right seems to go on/off and crackle when it wants to. Ive went into soundoptions and did tests and it seems like the right sound is alot lower when it does like a left, right test. Ive tryed making the right side louder but it doesnt do much help. Is my headset not compatable with vista? or is the sound card seem to be the blame. any feedback would be great thank you.

Check the solder points around your front L/R jack; one or more might have gone bad, resulting in poor sound out of one of the channels. (My friend had a similar problem with his Palm Tungsten E's headphone jack that I fixed a long time ago by adding more solder to the contacts and re-heating what was already there.) Oh, and can you still boot into XP to find out if it could be a Vista driver problem?
