I am a noob at building computersohow do you tell if there is enough room in the computer case to fit all of my hardware. I know if your motherboard is ATX then the case has to support ATX, but how do i know that the video card and other components will fit.

Sorry for the noob question

If it's an aftermarket case (i.e. what you'd buy from a store like Newegg), professional and customer reviews will often tell you such information. If there isn't any such information and you already have the case, measuring the space from the PCI-E slot to the closest obstruction (often the hard drive cage) is your best option. Mainstream cards are usually between 9 and 11 inches long, so you want about that much room for expansion cards. You can do similar measurements for CPU coolers if there is no info on the internet.

There are cheap full tower cases for $80 and they are sturdy and some actually have dual 250mm fans with top and side vents!

I hate my mid tower case its too cramped with 3 HDs and two 9800GTXs I actually had to move my Hds and mod my case to fit everything and theres no room for cable management and its all tangled and I can't even dust it without a hastle. My next computer will definitely have a full tower case ... more room , better air flow, and easier to install/remove components.
