My PC is around 5 years old, Pentium D processor. Anyways, I have to keep on changing where to put the speaker cord on the back of the PC. I think it's the PC's fault, because i can still hear music when i put my ear buds plugged into the front of my PC. Is there a way to fix this?

Weird. Is it onboard sound or a sound card? Maybe your card is ready for the crapper?

Try updating your audio drivers and run a sweep for viruses. If that doesn't work, you can always try a format and reinstall of windows...

Well, it keeps alternating. First, it wouldn't work when i plugged the speaker cord in the sound card hole. Then that happens to the regular hole to plug the speaker in. And over and over again.
