I gave this game another shot and got the the level where you are at the JBA headquarters and the bomb is about to go off and you have a choice in the outcome.I chose an option and the Emile guy says a few things then just stands there. Everyone is just looking around and i cant move or do anything. The samething happens with the other 2 options.I have applied the latest patch and all that before i started playing the game. Help :(

Change the resolution to 640x480 or 800x600, then try again.

Worst PC port ever? Wow, to surpass GTA IV, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Saints Row 2 your game must be broken.

I always wanted to play it but its a shame as this is why I have never been able to get to it even during sales. Haven't read a single positive thing of the pc version. Broken & no optimsation feedback universally.

Let's clarify one thing. The game in itself imo is the best Splinter Cell I have ever played. This game is one of the rare that when you make a decision, it actually TRULY impacts the gameplay. Now, as for the PC version....bad optimization, crashes and bugs are just the minor problem. I still cannot believe Ubisoft cut out KEY cut-scenes for the story....

Wait... what?! Why would Ubisoft cut the cut scenes?! It's like cutting out the
killer reveal scene
in Heavy Rain or cutting the ending in F.E.A.R. 2. Now that's bad.

EXACTLY....what were they thinking. There was a whole back story (involving Sam's Daughter) to why he became a Double Agent....as well as love story in between.... but none of that showed on the PC...

You are very lucky then my friend....or maybe the patches fixed it up. When I played, I couldn't for more than 30min without a crash to desktop....

Alright. Try this.

Step 1: Back up your save files (not configuration settings). Unless you want to start all over.
Step 2: Uninstall the game.
Step 3: Install the game.
Step 4: Play it as your normally would, but do not change any graphical settings.

I'm not guaranteeing success, but someone else got past that part by doing exactly this, so it's worth a shot.
