spore cost!

hay the pre-orders for spore are out and its only supposed to be $50...:oduh dun duh:o

does anyone know if this is true or not because spore has been work on for so long and they are are using pretty massively complex engines for the procedural animation.

IK there is the possibility of having to pay 4 the online part :cry: but i don't see maxis taking that step anytime soon.;)

We're talking about whether there will be additional costs for the online content, not just the standard retail price.

It can be argued that the entire game is online, since content creation and sharing is the core of the game.

I would understand if anyone wants to pirate the game if they charge for "extra content"

I mean, how do we know they dont cut content then distribute it over a period of months at additional cost? Whats next, cars without radios, then you gotta buy the radio a month later for 500 bucks?

But in hindsight, piracy is wrong no matter what. So maybe after a demo I might get it, but if not then a simple boycott shall suffice.

$100?, I ain't paying $100 for any game. And as far as spore is concerned, well see how good it is, once it actually comes out. I'm not really looking forward to it, but I will try the demo and see what all the hype is about.
