If this is the wrong section, please correct me here, I'm new to the forum. Anyways, I've been playing spore for a while now, and found a few planets that had purple spice (the most worth spice in the game) I increased their T-Score to 3, and placed all the animals, and 3 colonies. I increased their Income to how much i could, about +84/hour. Added a Spice storage, and that's my main source of money. I've sold it for 44k sporebucks, as i was a noob and didn't know it could go higher. Once, there was a great deal of 73k sporebucks. I got a lot of money from that, my game crashed and I had to start from a earlier save. I guess i was O.K. with that, but i have to ask you how can i increase the price from 44k to 73k again. I tried this: -Sell spice to [Empire A], get more spice, and sell to [Empire B]. The prices didn't change, and somewhat randomly later the prices decreased to 20k, where i am right now. Does anyone know how i would be able to increase the price back to somewhere around 60k-73k? Thanks in advance

I don't think YOU can change it. I'm pretty sure the value changes depending on the empire. An empire producing the same spice gives lower for that spice and vice versa. There is a spore mod that increases the $$$ you get for spice but all spice becomes rarer. So red and yellow sell for 200000 ect. Anyway good luck.

To creaturemagic: ah i see. Il find some small empire that doesn't have them and sell them there. Yet i still do not understand, as i haven't expanded my empire in the past time, just kept using the spice i get from my star systems, and somehow my home planet's spice price lowered from 60k. Anyone got a explanation for that? To: psn8214: Not really, but spice is the best income of money.

BTW. Space stage is expansive and It'll take quite awhile to conquer the galaxy, and kill all the grox but if you have fun in space stage you may want to look into similar games eg A.I War or X3: Terran Conflict. So yeah when your done with Spore, if you enjoy space stage make sure you check out similar games.

I used cheats on my other saves, i don't anymore. I had trouble getting that "start kick" in spore, as i had no idea how to get money, and was very newbish. I finally decided not to use cheats and did some research. I get quite a lot of money. I was kind of wrong thought. My Home planet's price didn't change. I still get to sell purple spice of 60.000 sporebucks :D As i realized that i immediately thought of a plan to increase my spice income from that one T3 planet. I've had to destroy all my current 3 colonies for the greater good. Then as I got the planet back to creature stage, I've placed a monolith. I have a few questions about this. In an almost instant time, my planet evolved to the Tribal stage. I waited some time and as i realized i cannot place a second monolith i began to worry. Will they now evolve to civil stage? (i'm planning to declare war on them on civil stage, and own the whole planet) Can I conquer all of the colonies in civil stage to make the planet my own? I would like to hear a answer to these questions before i go any further, that is, if i can. I'm really sorry that i reposted. I removed that message as i really didn't see the combobox with all these options. Anyway.. apologies for the bump, but i cannot see any edit button. Anyway: I've found out that One star system will always sell me spice for 60.000 sporebucks. My home planet's price went back to 1.000 sporebucks. I've looked around and found out the empire i had sold spice for 60.000 sporebucks before my home planet, now again has the very good price. Thats a very good discovery, yet i'm sure it has something to do that i trade with all empires, and that is what changes the prices. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes they will evolve to civilisation stage, and everything is fine and good. BUT, you cannot conquer/convert them while they are civilisation stage, if you destroy the cities all you are left with is the bare planet again. You must wait till they enter space stage and then just either talk to them or somehow conquer them.

My quest is finally over. I have 8 Colonies there, i conquered them at space stage. I added a spice storage, can hold 80 spice now. Everything is turning good now. I found out the price changing reasons too.I'l explain everything what happend. As soon as i conquered them, I also added a loyality booster, what has allowed me to max out the spice income, without citizens striking. I'm soon going to add a uber turret, as soon as i get the badges needed for that. The reason prices were changing was because i was selling and buying from each possible empire. Now i will only sell and buy at that one empire. The best thing that has happened is: I found a star system that sells purple spice for 73.000 sporebucks. YAY! Well, i can call all this solved. I'm not sure if i can lock my own thread, but i'm off to play now! For those sporelings who play on easy, as me: If you see one of the star systems of any empire selling Purple spice at 40.000 sporebucks, that means, by my experience at least: -One of the star systems in that Empire sells for 73.000 sporebucks.
