COD:MW2 has grouping functions, but the Voice commands go to the whole team, not just your squad. You always could use Ventrilo or Teamspeak though.

rainbow six 3: gold is a good one. its quite old but its only about £4. it hase a few different online game modes, co-op terrorist hunt is a good one for team work, that is probably the best squad based game on steam. another one by tom clancy, ghost recon. command and conquer games are on there if you'd prefer an RTS, those could be classed squad based. other RTS games on there that are good are Company of Heroes, Men of War, World in Conflict, Dawn of War and the total war series. star wars republic commando is like a star wars version of rainbow six, so that is squad based. brothers in arms, same sort of thing but world war 2. left 4 dead, you are in a team of 4, with full online co-op. counter strike is an online only team-based shooter, and so is team fortress 2. the commandos games could also be classed as squad-based games, but they're single player only.

L4D2. Counterstrike is a lot of fun, though it won't just be you and your friends, you'll be on a team vs. another team. Still great fun however. Same for TF2.

i dont think iv played a co-op game that was more fun than the terrorist hunts in Ravenshield, shame they went all arcadey with the Vegas games they are poop in comparison.

i sort of agree, i like vegas, but for different reasons than previous rainbow six games. the realism and strategy was definately a lot stronger before vegas.
