Yeah I feel your pain. I own around 225-230 games and about 120 of them are unbeaten. I am trying to balance a 42 hour work week with friends and gaming. It's hard but enjoyable.

I have the same problem. I have several hundred games that I haven't beaten, some of them I haven't even tried. Well what can you do when there's a shop near you that sells old/used games for dirt cheap.

Yeah, I know what you mean - I've got game boxes on my desk that I haven't even opened, and a ton of stuff that I've never finished (or even played much of). I just find that I don't have enough time to spend playing slow/mediocre games.

I've got over 130 PC games (I don't have about a dozen listed on my game collection list because they're so bad....I don't want the world to know I wasted money on them) and I can honestly say that I've probably have beaten about 1/4 of them on that list. So I've got around 90-100 I haven't beat.

I tend to get so far into a game, then start over to try something different...rinse and repeat and then I never do beat the game.

I have at least 2-3 dozen games that I own that I haven't even opened yet.

I've got about 2 dozen games installed on my PC currently and out of those, I've probably got 6 of them beat, but I still play them from time to time. The rest of the games I either haven't played or I played a ways into the game and stopped for some reason or another.

I've got a good 50 games sitting on my computer desk on the left side that I have played and not beat or not even played yet and the 30 games or so on the right side of my computer desk are games I have beat. Then I have a big box of games in a closet that has the rest of my games - generally the older ones - which very few of them I have actually beat.

I had to stop going into GameStop stores and Best Buy stores and even browsing Amazon.com for PC games....I always walk out with a new game and I don't get a chance to play it. I need to beat what I have. I haven't bought a game for over 4 months now....it's driving me crazy!

I had the same problems, in fact last year these games were on my bought but have not played list (I have finished them now except Graw), so I decided not to get any new games until I was done with the old ones I have. I still have some games I need to play through before I get new ones, but when some of those games are Grim Fandango, No one lives forever, Mafia and I-War 2 there is not much to complain about :).

I'm in a similar position, I've picked up games that have interested me but uni work took higher priority.

I'm currently nearing the end of my last year at university, once done I plan on enjoying catching up.

I have around 70 games and have beaten over 45-50 of them. The rest of my games that are unplayed are just on the "to-play" pile or so bad I can't even bring myself to play them for whatever reason (like Descent I and II and Freespace II make me dizzy..).

Oh yes, I know your pain... Darn you Guild Wars!!!!! ;)

PC:

The Witcher, Drakensang, Portal, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Gothic III, Lands of Lore II: Gaurdians of Destiny

Xbox 360:

Eternal Sonata, Ninja Gaiden II, Halo 3, Tales of Vesperia

PS3/2:

Metal Gear Solid 4

Okami

SMT: Persona 3 FES +4

Wild Arms 4 + 5

Valkyrie Profile: Slimeria

Growslanser Generations

Dark Cloud 2

Tales of the Abyss

Xenosaga 2 + 3

Eternal Poison

Disgaea 3

Grandia 2 + 3

Shadow Hearts: From the New World

This is just off the top of my head, I'm sure I am missing more.

But it's better to have more games , than not have enough. I just consider myself a squirrel storing up nuts for the Winter! :)

I don't have a stack of unplayed games, but I DO have a stack of unbeaten games. I have this problem of starting a game, then getting distracted by another game and forgetting about the original. Just to list a few that I have started and not beaten: KOTOR, SW: Republic Commando, GTA: San Andreas, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Bioshock, Gears of War, DMC4 (waiting on getting a gamepad for that one, so I guess that's legit), CoD:WaW, ES4:Oblivion, Mafia, Doom 3...and that's just quick off the top of my head. I gotta get on all those...

yeah I spend way more than I should on games. I don't have kids or dependants so my 42 hour a week pay cheque can go towards more games than the avergae gamer. Choosing what to play is a huge task for me. If I can't decide I will just go to www.random.org and get it to give me a random number which will corrospond to a game and that's what I play.

I'm sure there are a number of reasons...stupidity, greed, bragging rights, collector, too much money to know what to do with it, and I'm sure there are other various reason someone else might have. For me, it's a mix of stupidity (spending more money then I should) and I like to collect games; well, PC games. I buy ones that interest me and hopefully I get time to play them and it's even better when I'm able to beat them!

I have about 5 games I still haven't played, but I keep seeing new ones, buying those and then only playing them half way though before getting distracted by something else. I think some of it is to do with quality - if a game is really good then you will play it through; and the other half is actually starting playing, which I think can be more of a chore than a pleasure sometimes when you see all the new games out and the big list of games you have to play first. Man what am I saying, gaming shouldn't be a chore! :|

Im running out of shelf space but im relatively new to the PC gaming scene so my collection is not as large. Granted, I think they should stick with the slim DVD cases, the fat ones are just a disc with a manual and nothing else so I don't get why you need such a fat box. At least it makes for a colorful room!

I agree with the slim DVD case idea. I have no problem with bigger boxes if they are warrented but if they are not it would make it easier trying to store my games. I am using an entire closet right now and almost out of room.

Yes I have this problem big time. I probably have anywhere from 40-60 half complete or barely started games on my hard drive or on my shelf. My problem is getting into online games more than my single player games.

Abso-friggin-lutely. I had actually been making progress cutting into my backlog of PC games, or at least keeping pace, at one point. Recently though, I'm starting to accumulate games far faster than I get to them once again.

Philmon.... you need to play NOLF ASAP lol it came out in 2000 but ill put it agaisnt any game today. Its that fun to me.

NOLF (in addition to NOLF2) is among my all-time favorites, great game!

PC-wise, I'm mostly up to date with my gaming. That's not to say I've beaten all of my games- far from it. But if I haven't played a game too much, it's probably because I don't care to continue. Psychonauts is a prime example of this. There are a few PS2 games I'm backed up on and I want to finish Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, but I'm doing ok for the moment. If I've got a problem, it's that I can never seem to find time to go re-play some classics like Morrowind.

Yeah I can relate to that :) When I see a great deal I have to buy it, even if I dont get round to playing it for quite a long time. I have quite a few games bought more than 6 months ago still sat in their shrink wrap. I do try to focus on playing just one game at a time, since I know if I jump between several games I will end up not finishing any of them, and to me that feels like more of a waste than having a game I haven't yet played.

Some of my games are not completed, but i would say a stack, more like 5 or 4. Some of them because of the fact the story was terrible, or because someone used to wipe my save everytime i left. (curse you, nephews, prolonging my completion of FFX-2!) Some i completed when i was about 5 years old but just haven't played again.

I just go with a few games finish with them get a couple more and by the time I'm done those I'll want to play those old games again. Keeps my budget way down. Right now I'm playing GeoW and Fallout 3 and later I might go back to Command and Conquer or finally grow a pair and by Crysis

I buy used, somewhat older games at used bookstores and music stores. I have easily 250 games, 50 of which I haven't even played. But it's easy to afford games which cost two or three bucks. I got Lost Planet brand new at the goodwill for five bucks, Pariah and Sands of Time for a dollar each, etc etc
