If I can play on my 3GHz CeleronD, 1GB DDR RAM, X800 rig, you should be fine. You might not be able to have everything turned on full, but you'll still be able to enjoy the game.

I have AMD Athlon 3800+ (Not clocked) 2.4 Mhz , GeForce 7600 GS (256 mb) and 1 GB RAM and I have played Stalker at Medium details and it was running very good. I think you won't have any trouble to play with that configuration. Also I have tried to play at High details and it was lagging a bit but not much.

Try with good texture quality with low shadows and lights effects, and you will be fine...

This arent minimum requierments. They are reccomended, to play game at good resolutions at medium-high detail. Minimum is other.

Uhh... Well, I was able to play it on my 3 and a half years old AMD Athlon XP 2800+ clocked at 2.1 Ghz, FX 5900, 512 MB ram.

So you should be able to play it...
